The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
In my opinion oculus is a rival to Sky, Apple, QLED TV, mobile phones, computers, consoles etc. Incorporate 4G or 5G, voice assistance, Bose rival earphones and cloud computing into an oculus headset and you’ve suddenly got an unbelievable piece of hardware then add in Facebook connectivity with friends worldwide and it jumps to another level. MVR is part of that journey. It’s the next natural leap into the future. There will probably come a point where you can also buy a MVR style camera with 360 vision the size of a ping pong ball that you still on the coffee table or anywhere so you can use it with a VR headset connected anywhere in the world. As the headsets get smaller, cheaper and become more like wearing a pair of glasses things will change again.
purely based on the tech it uses tomorrow never mind anything else. Obviously there would have to be a bidding war. My money would be on Facebook. I wonder if Facebook can broadcast it in VR style so you could watch it on your mobile using a cardboard headset in VR. If the next gig was also free Facebook could send out a free cardboard headset to watch it on via your mobile they could then use that to promote the oculus go. I guess ultimately Facebook want everyone in VR as a means of communicating as well as using it for apps etc.
this share Boohoo fell to around 18p, I knew it had massive potential and posted regularly on this thread, it was a great laugh and full of characters. Then this board got swamped and all the fun disappeared and I stopped reading and posting on this thread. It should be clear to everyone by now how the boohoo share price moves and when. A few times recently I’ve posted about EVRH, they own Melody VR. Why have I done this? Because people on the Boohoo thread looked out for each other and we all wanted to make money. In my opinion Melody VR (EVRH) are about to go sky high. I wouldn’t post on here just to make myself look foolish. I’m still in Boohoo but please take a look at EVRH that own Melody VR, in my mind they are the next Spotify but on a different level. Have a good weekend!
If you catch up on AM presentations you’ll get my drift.. selling merchandise and advertising on Melody VR is next. When VR becomes a mainstream way of using the World Wide Web via mobiles, Melody VR will be extremely well placed to capture that market. Maybe while fans are waiting for the free gig to start adverts will be broadcast just like at the cinema. All to play for..
I can imagine someone once saying that about google when people were saying what’s the internet
Yes I can’t imagine how you could ever copy simultaneous jump spots, it also means that if they covered a multi venue festival you could jump from stage to stage and back stage with your avatar mates who could be on the other side of the world. That’s pretty cool.
anyone could buy this company, they obviously have something very special up their sleeve regarding streaming this live concert. The bigger picture is huge. It’s like say they did 20 live streams and each artist had 50 million twitter followers that’s a potential reach and exposure to 1 billion fans. There’s bigger forces at work here.

for an artist to crack America or get global exposure
MelodyVR's technical expertise in live-streaming, compression, automated-stitching, encoding and distribution.
I reckon Melody VR will provide live concerts and they’ll be added into this list

That SP is becoming more and more like a coiled spring. They’ve got nearly 50 music features to watch and an exponential growth in devices to watch them on. They’ve got artists advertising on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. It’s explosive growth in all directions. If I was on the BOD I would say keep the business model simple until customers understand the concept and then build on that platform. Live concerts, avatars, selling merchandise, advertising. They won’t launch anything pre Christmas in my opinion other than maybe a live gig. They are clearly assessing access to their app and purchases to understand the trends etc.
I’d be disappointed xmas day if I couldn’t get it on RIFT and my mate could on GO.
I read someone asked MVR 6 days ago they said just GO not RIFT and it says Oculus Go on MelodyVR website.
I wonder if they are still in testing phase..
Why is the app not available on the Occulus Rift?
