The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Ok I get it, the concert will be in America maybe. They would have just said who it was back when they talked about it but likely they can’t. So are Facebook going to announce it, that would make sense. They could buy MVR and rebrand it as Facemusic.
I still think it’s UB40 but tickets not sold out yet. Maybe they are looking at every option.
cardboard headsets, last post in time for xmas, live concert before xmas, something fishy, what are all those staff doing everyday, mind boggling
I agree and for all we know they could be in a exclusivity period.
UB40 21st December?
If the company were negotiating the sale of the company could they buy shares in it during that period?
They built their own cameras and I’m still trying to work out how they work, they don’t seem to wobble, they don’t seem visible from different angles and their vision seems completely 360 in all directions. Have they patented that technology because it could be used in films, dramas, theatre, football, olympics, boxing etc. I can’t imagine what game of thrones would be like using those cameras.
Good to see Melody VR included in the oculus immersive experiences pack and jam session pack on the oculus website, that just shows they are all really pushing Melody VR. There must be thousands of people using Melody VR.
I think it’s pretty nailed on that someone will try to buy them, there has got to be a tipping point somewhere in the near future. Apple, Sky, Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, Spotify, Google, Sony, Microsoft.
The more I read about this the more I’m convinced about a connection

A pure VR gig with no crowd or maybe a virtual crowd. That would save a lot of messing about and I suppose they could play the gig in outer space or with another CGI background.
You see that’s my point. I assumed what I saw on that iPhone app was everything you could watch on a VR headset and I’ve not seen anything yet even on the Facebook page that wasn’t on the iPhone app. After those dissapeared from the app it left me confused, where they still available? Why not have everything showcased on the iPhone app? If Joe Bloggs was considering buying a VR headset for xmas for himself or next year they might think I’ll leave it for another year until they have more content. It doesn’t make any sense to remove those artists from the iPhone app in my mind. They could have Oasis, Coldplay and the Chemical Brothers available to watch in VR but unless I opened the right app on the correct device, I’d never know about it. If the app has limited space why not rotate the artists on a daily basis and at least make clear that they are just a small selection of what’s available.
I’ve got an iPhone 7 with the app on it, under line up tab AWOLNATION are not there anymore, neither are Wet Wet Wet, Years and Years and more. I don’t see a concerts button and I’m pretty tech savvy. I don’t get it, maybe if your using a VR headset you see them all. I see the Pixies, Jacob Banks, LSO etc.
AWOLNATION I know they were on the app and I bought an Occulus for my wife’s xmas present so she could watch them and now they have disappeared, hmmm I’d be feeling slightly worried. But hey it’s not as if this is a global company and anyone is going to notice? Right? Good job Wiz was put back on seeing as in a Global advertising campaign. I’m lost for words, almost..
The app doesn’t open in flight mode so would be no need to download vids to phone
I know this morning they took a few off including Wiz, Pixies appeared etc then they put a few back on such as Wiz.
Mind boggles, I guess you’re right.
I don’t post often, been a fan of this for couple of years.
Why did Wet Wet Wet, Years and Years amongst others dissapear from the iPhone app yet you can still see them on the Facebook page etc.
That does not make any sense to me at all. I’m totally baffled. Are they only going to have around 45 on that opening page at any one time?
Melody VR Facebook ABBA
ABBA in VR would be a total game changer and from the sounds of it groundbreaking in its use of technology.
It bodes well for all music in VR
