For me nothing will happen until we know what’s happening with Brexit! I think once it’s voted through parliament the tune will change...
It’s not just Hancock...

Yes 2017, 539 artists...
They can definitely keep secrets, nobody here guessed Liam Payne would be the first live VR gig or guessed the venue, the date or the ticket ballot etc. Keep the faith.
I think they show intent and direction and they are making a big leap to move people beyond smartphones and into wearing a VR headset for everything. For instance with 5G you won’t need a phone line anymore to get on the internet, there’s about to be a huge upheaval and Facebook with Oculus are well ahead of the chasing pack. All my recent posts show how Facebook is blurring the lines between social media and music and interaction. I would imagine soon you’ll be able to upload a 30 second video of yourself as an avatar at a live VR gig with friends through Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp etc.
All in black and white;

I think it’s a bit more complicated than that.. Ask yourself this question what would Facebook get out of paying MVR to update the app for the Oculus quest? Personally I think people will be so blown away by what the app will be able to do that they’ll go buy the Oculus Quest. That’s just my opinion. I wouldn’t sell the goose that’s laying the golden eggs.
lol
I think if Facebook bought MVR I reckon they would be seriously looking at advertising within the app. I presume a subscription model would include an advert free version. Apple are supposed to be launching their VR headset next year. I wonder if in the financials they’ll mention Glastonbury.
I wouldn’t have imagined they would/could allow sharing of material without an agreement with MVR and the label. Aren’t WhatsApp and Messenger owned by Facebook?
The vids on the MVR iPhone app you can share on Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp. What does that tell you?
When they negotiated the app upgrade is that the only thing they talked about?
Facebook, Universal Music and Melody VR all seemed linked to me.
World Tour - I’m guessing that will be somehow recorded for streaming and or VR.
Tend to find these days that stocks are shorted and people stay out of them until a week or so before the financials are due, it minimises risk. VR will become the norm and the way to communicate worldwide, watching concerts in VR or AR will follow that trend. It’s about having a vision to see that and many private investors don’t. I also expect to see a subscription model launched when the oculus quest app goes live. If Amazon bought MVR they could include it in their prime subscription like they did with LOVEFiLM.
Maybe the ABBA VR gig is waiting for 6DOF in the Oculus Quest.
