The thing that’s scarey is the rate of cash burn and it may have come as a shock to management once the numbers were crunched. It’s not just salaries it’s all the expenses too. Add into this to the cost of sales etc. We’re almost six months into 2019 and maybe they’ve only got another twelve months of cash left. The big question for me is what happens if they went bust, would all the purchasers of the concerts want their money back? Imagine the bad publicity that would create? And would Oculus allow them to launch on the Quest if such a scenario might come to fruition? I would think they need more money from somewhere and fast, that’s just my opinion. Even if they launched on mobiles will that really make a difference? I just don’t understand why or how running this business was so expensive and costly for no profitable gain in 2018. If they had sales of 10 million in 2019 what would be the profit after royalty deductions etc?
Or it will be bought by Oculus. In my opinion they launched the app two years too early. They should have waited until the PS5 launched with the vr headset and launched on that and Rift S, Go and Quest at the same time. The big question is how much runway do they have left?
They’ve got a brilliant product something that a big player will want to own. It’s clear that the concept works and there are a lot of opportunities. The problem seems to be VR headset numbers. Melody VR launched on the Oculus Go and I’ve read an article that said the app was tried on the Oculus Rift years ago but the experience was not at its best so to speak. This tells me two things, they’ve worked with Oculus for quite a time and the Go proved to be good enough for the experience to be great. To use it in their advertising campaign told me that they thought it was cool. The big question on everyones mind is can they scale this up fast enough. The institutions that own shares will be asking the same questions because they won’t want to lose money. If it was me I’d be looking now for someone to buy the business, it obviously will make money in future but how far is that off. Virgin, Spotify, Amazon, Apple, Oculus should be looking to buy the business today in my opinion.
It depends how you look at it, supposed to have sold 400 and odd thousand Oculus Go in last quarter of 2018 and Liam Payne gig was released in 2019. I reckon that gig cost a million quid to do everything included. I reckon turnover for 2019 as a whole will be around 10 - 12 million. If they release dedicated app for iPhone and Samsung could be double that. I just don’t know why they don’t take a massive leaf out of www.livr.co.uk book.
I think they should have launched on mobiles first but if they did that they might not have got the major record companies to get involved. Virtual reality, jump spots is the way to go! What I find odd is with the Liam Payne gig why didn’t they announce it months in advance of it happening so all his fans could go order an oculus go from Santa and watch it live if it had been done just after Christmas then they could share the experience with their friends and family over Xmas. It’s big things like that which I can’t get my head around. Why all the secrecy about everything. Like I said before it’s like going to a car boot sale and keeping everything hidden in the boot. They need an industry heavyweight to buy into the company pdq in my opinion.
?????
million over the last 6 months of 2018? I could go film a concert and stream it live to Facebook for free and it would remain there and so anyone could watch it. I could do that every weekend and it would only cost me the price of entrance. What have they spent 6 million on?

Its a massive eye opener. You pay £5.99 a month subscription and they send you a free headset, I presume it’s cardboard. You download the app to your android mobile or iPhone, slot the phone in the headset and watch the theatre releases in VR. It’s coming to Oculus too etc. There’s no commitment, cancel anytime and new theatre shows added every month. It was advertised on Facebook of all places when I scrolled through my homepage. I just can’t fathom why MVR haven’t done similar because it just shows it is possible to reach out to those 3 billion potential customers, many of which may never buy a all singing all dancing VR headset. LIVR LTD are on companies house.
To me the MVR web page and Facebook pages are suddenly looking very well put together and trendy with lively clips playing. Looking like a very appealing and inviting place to experience music.
It will launch on the Quest and if it does MVR will be gaining about ten thousand potential new customers per day.
They know most likely because they go to the AGM and ask a lot of questions then probably have algorithms buying and selling. I watched some of the F8 and how they are using AI and how they are teaching the AI, it was unbelievable stuff! Now imagine that AI being applied to the stock market! or any derivative trading platform!!! Governments will surely have to ban AI from trading.
Why not recruit some influencers not from the music industry with a huge Facebook following?
You did it with Liam Payne but why not some big celeb like David Beckham or similar?
So Liam is now back on the Iphone teaser app, well done! If you want an advertising masterclass example go check out Pretty Little Thing!! the clothing outlet!!
Pink black cabs with Unicorns on them driving around London! It promotes the brand!
Why not put some poster advertising Melody VR on the London Underground!! It’s an international audience especially on the Euro tunnel...
Apparently they already confirmed...

Can you download the Oculus app onto any platform GO, RIFT, QUEST, RIFT S and download the MVR app from within the Oculus app. I’ve seen some say that the Oculus app is cross functional across the Headsets.
It was stated they want to convert people using the iPhone teaser app into full users. If removing Liam Payne from that app makes it more likely to happen then I’m flabbergasted. Just how much did that gig cost to put together yet he’s not on that iPhone app yet if you go to the LinkedIn page he’s on it with a little promo, I just don’t get it. How many iphones and iPads are out there? I think someone said 3 billion!!
Why they took Liam Payne off the iPhone teaser app yet the have Sigrid and Rudimental on there twice??
Don’t understand why they launched 5 bands end of last month and then nothing for 4 weeks??
Don’t understand why they have all these agreements and nothing seems to be happening??
Don’t understand why there are no girl groups like Little Mix??
Don’t understand why they don’t appear to be covering the X factor tour??
I don’t understand any of it???
It’s like going to a car boot sale and keeping all your items locked in the boot.
Why are Sigrid and Rudimental on the iPhone app yet the live concert of Liam isn’t at a time when there is massive interest in Oculus? And why hasn’t there been another live gig since Xmas?
