thank you for the belated reply. You may well be correct, however, from a customer perspective i can see the logic of these bolt on acquisitions. I want a one stop solution to cover all my energy needs, i don't want to have to go to 3 or 4 different companies. I agree they may well have overpaid - Utility Team was over £20m - however, this was funded by a placing at 15p (double the current price) and shares at 24p.

The energy cap has come quite late for SMEs - prices are already 3 of 4 times what they were 12 months ago - and the cap is only for 6 months. I'm not sure the impact on new business will be significant.

of all the overly enthusiast statements and timelines that CF has rightly been criticised for this one is just stupid. If anyone bought based on this statement then you only have yourself to blame.
A CEO should be positive about the company they work for/part own and he/she should talk up the share price. However, the CEO clearly can't control a share price so i, and i assume many others, took this statement with a pinch of salt.
For the record can anyone show me a company that has doubled it's SP every 6 months over say a 3 year timeline (so is now worth 64 times more than it was 3 years ago)??

Boom Battle are quite large sites so the cost of heating etc will be significant. Also as new sites are opening all the time and not 2 or 3 years ago any fixing will be at a much higher price. I think they only had 2 sites a couple of years ago.
Hopefully the govt cap today covers all companies

i didn't mention cash , merely when the invoice is issued. For a large contract it will almost certainly be split into stages and the invoice will be issued once that segment of work is completed. So my point still stands. If there is a delay in completing the work then the invoice is delayed accordingly - it that delay is at a period end it will impact results (in the short term).
In my job i recently signed a big deal with a software provider. Their end year was end of Feb. They gave me a discount to complete prior to that date so the invoice could be issued

i do also think the H1 numbers are a little underwhelming and this has quite rightly been pointed out. Whilst it is good that YE numbers have been re-confirmed that's a big ask as July & Aug was c£9m so last 4 months needs to be £22m.
Having said that much depends on when invoices can be issued - if a big one is delayed from late Dec to early Jan that can have a big impact on numbers.
I think the big UK Govt contract last H1 has distorted comparisons a bit though - H2 last year was much lower c£15m so surprised this wasn't also include in comparisons.
There are positives. EBITDA % is increasing and if close to £50m YE is achieved that's a c25% YoY increase. The orderbook is also very healthy.

i think the results are mixed and more detail on the outlook would have been nice e.g. July and Aug figures would have been good (notice ORPH also did a 1/2 year today and included these in their update). When things aren't included there is always a concern they may not be that good - hopefully incorrect.
Prescriptions are rising a a decent %, albeit from a very low base, and the price per prescription of $152 is a big increase on the previous $34 as more people are covered by insurers. I expect H2 will generate at least $4m in revenue from US.

Cashburn was c£10m in the 6 months so extra funding is 100% required (also $10m loan needs to be repaid by 31/12/23).
No info on that (as expected) but this could drop any day - well something needs to happen before end of 2022!!

We have been told utilities are fixed until next Spring (so April?) and from April to Sept heating costs will be minimal - so that's 12 months from now.

Tomorrow we will hear how the Tories aim to cap energy prices for companies too.

It appears a number of hospitality companies have suffered recently with the cost of living crisis and the fuel price increases - whilst RBG are clearly not immune from these challenges, with a younger clientele and with fixed energy prices IMHO i think we are in a stronger position than many.

is this being dragged down due to the sector underperforming?
REVB has accounting issues and is now suspended, BAR is a disaster, lose making and slowly burning though its big cash pile and although not 100% beauty THG share price has dropped about 80% in the last 6 months or so.

FYI - today's Jupiter reduction is merely because AOP's recent purchase has increased the shares in issue from c216m to 257m. The number of shares they hold has not changed. We are overdue one from Investages who hold c56m shares.
So their % will decrease by c5% - don't panic when this RNS belatedly lands

AOP has c70m shares now with the recent purchase of c41m at 5.5p. At the last placing they bought 14.3m at 30p.
Therefore, i think the initial c14m was bought either at original listing or the June 2017 placing - both at 150p. So based on this their average is now c39p.
Regardless AOP has been a long term investor/support of STX. I doubt they will be looking at a takeover but feel STX is fundamentally undervalued.

why will there be a TR1? If you are referring to JW he has just top sliced a little. He previously owned less than 3% (i assume as no previous TR1) so clearly one is not required now. He does hold 6 figure amounts in the shares he owns so regardless of the % he is heavily invested

but it's not that simple. POLX were confident last time, as surely is every company who submits to the FDA. The CRL is about FDAs interpretation of the information/data that is submitted and their interpretation will be vey cautious/conservative.
The fact that questions are being asked now is IMHO a positive though, so i'm a little more confident this morning.

Yes, the communication is 100% positive. They are reviewing the application (so hopefully timelines will be adhered to) and are asking for clarification on a few points. By asking now it is more likely an minor issues/concerns will be addressed prior to the final decision.
I remember STX mentioned the same in 2019 when their iron product received FDA approval. Leading up to the decision CEO mentioned they had responded to all questions following submission. They passed with no issues.
Incidentally i note that 30/9 is a Friday. Might be looking into this in too much detail but STX also had a Friday date and they RNSed that morning, so must have got the decision the day before.
Conversely i note the IMM RNS today with mentions minor delays within the FDA so a lesser response.

MS - sorry that figure i quoted is, i think, the 2022 estimate before the figures were downgraded in March. Can't access the broker site to see what they are now so happy to be advised. 2021 actuals were £5.7m so they are being quite conservative if 2022 was the same especially given a better H1 than the previous year. Suspect much depends on when the recent esports event was invoiced - it ran from June to July so if only invoiced at the end it will be in 2023 figures.

Anyway revs for 2023 (YE 30/6/23) are c£10.5m with PBT of c£2m. That's what i'm focusing on.
