They should have told the market about placing price.From their wording it is not even clear even they want to do placing as they are in talks with banks.

at current price risk/reward looks really good as pharmaceuticals companies spend a fortune trying to get FDA approval stage and many still dont get it.Circassia is unique as it has different products at various stages and sales in different countries .However it is an illiquid share and price can be hit hard when two major shareholders are trying to offload.

It is common practise that sometimes bonds trade at big discount than actual value a good example would be premium oil whose bonds were trading at similar value and market thought equity is worthless.On the otherside bondholders have nothing to lose as they own the company and would be first in line to get money if company goes bankrupt.

Bondholders would have to take a haircut on their bonds.In the cade of takeover buyer would have to pay bondholders money then and there.Let us assume that buyer wants to takeover company for 500 million he would have to pay 1.2 billion as well.

two factors have contributed towards Thomas cook demise:weaker pound and having hight street stores.They dont have control over former but are planning on closing down some high street stores.I was in Debenhams and flybe and both have been let down by management .I do believe that one day thomas cook would close down its high street stores as now a days people are shopping around before they book holidays to get maximum value for their money.

Think you are ignoring Hotel revenue and Thomas cook has spent a fortune on Hotels, they are pulling out of Airline to concentrate on hotels.

Its hotel portfolio, right now shareprice is kind of stable around 11.5 and 12.If previous profit warnings are considered then shareprice would be back to 18 to 20 withing a week or two.
