Wouldn't be much point other than for some cash and reduced capex spend in future years. They don't need that cash for South Disouq so it could only be used for acquisitions or shareholder distributions.

If Hanut doesn't come in South Disouq is the same as it ever was really, so not sure how you can say that. Yes, if it does come in and assuming there are other similar prospects that are unearthed then yes I agree on that front.

Not sure your logic follows regarding disposing of Moroccan assets. They don't need the cash and CAPEX savings from a theoretical selling of the Moroccan business to progress South Disouq. They are doing it right now with the Moroccan business will plugging away. Besides, there is actually a lot of potential in the Moroccan business if SDX can give their brains a rattle and come up with some other way to monetise the gas.

If they didn't drill in Morocco this year they'd have basically an extra US$13m of cash. All of that money spent on gas you can't sell for years and years. Hopefully they'll start to identify some larger structures and bring the yearly drilling costs down. Still, they can't sell it. Customer base isn't there.

Yes or more exploration upside in the concession. It's got to be something like this or what you said or similar in Morocco, they've never had subsurface or operations guys on before. As is usual with SDX I expect to be disappointed lol.

Interesting. Members of the subsurface and operations team? We've never heard from any of them before. Are they just trying to do more PR and get the word out about SDX better than they have been doing or do they have something more on South Disouq/Morocco for us?

That's why I said real news because I don't reckon any of them move the needle here apart from the South Disouq drills.

There's no real news - apart from possibly a Morocco well test - until they drill some wells next year. Also, good luck with that spread it's mostly terrible. Although not really sure why it matters if you are considering a longer term hold.

Don't know what the outcome was but IPR will have either agreed to participate in the two proposed wells or not by now. I wonder when SDX will actually tell us?

There is no indication he has bought any recently. If you look at the link he held 4.73m in 2017. So between then and yesterday he has only purchased some 700,000 shares. It looks like the thing that triggered the holdings RNS was the recent long spreadbet. Why he chose that method to gain upside exposure to SDX is anyone's guess.

I guess the spreadbet brought them over 3% threshold and thus had to notify. So shares probably haven't been bought recently but the long spreadbet is an interesting development. Couldn't get the stock maybe? Expecting a short term gain? I doubt the latter however.

Maybe that's just what he did. Impossible to know really. If they were all acquired as part of one large order that was slowly filled over time.

So these guys have accumulated 5,455,000 ordinary shares in SDX (2.66% of total outstanding shares) and also opened a long spread bet over 829,922 shares (0.4% of total outstanding shares). No idea who they are but they are putting up big money here.

And no, basically no one other than me and maybe one or two others turned up to ask SDX questions.
