to get a handle on expenses, encourage some more mainstream TV deals & it should be trading around 4-5p with a m/cap of around £12-15m..that's a 10 bagger if you can wait..worth remembering not many shares in public hands with heavy ii's onboard, it's a well established business that needs direction..stick £500 in & maybe make £5,000..worst case scenario you lose a few hundred..that's my view anyways..
The only way round it is to do a share consolidation, say 1 for 5 to reduce the shares in issue by a factor of 5 ie. divide number of shares by 5 which in theory increases the SP x 5 to get above 2p to make it viable to do a placing but even then the m/cap is so low that it would be difficult,..so they have incentivised investors to purchase more shares by offering 1% a month as per RNS..
(b) the minimum price which may be paid for an Ordinary Share (exclusive of expenses) shall be 2 pence per Ordinary Share; Nominal value is 2p, this can't be breached when issuing new shares..these used to trade at 27p, new man at the helm cost cutting taking place, Edinburgh office closed, lots of new projects coming onboard etc etc..whats not to like at these prices?

if you don't like what you see do one..
is gash in comparison to FTE..
I think we are worth between £10-£15m on paper, the reason we are priced so low is we have very little cash..a lot of money has been spent on exploring the projects, drilling & we have 70% ownership of a small producing field..sat in IRGS's shoes what would you be doing right now? That's difficult to gauge as he's not short of cash & he tells us he is ambitious for KEA..dilution has taken place & we need to raise conservatively around £2-£3m, to continue throughout 2015 including drilling Shannon..
is worth jack sh*t anyway, there are lots of ii's at a higher risk than us PI's that bought in near the bottom..the banks in Peru are a lot more lenient than in Europe as their economy is doing quite well..the bad harvests have caused this problem & it sounds like the senior lenders want to make a fist of it, so they have taken security of the whole business, as per term sheet, to afford MPLE some time to turn things around..ultimately cost controls need to be put in place & or the sale of assets need to take place to reduce the debt..
it looks like they have 12 months to turn it round, subject to the senior lenders say so..funny how 'ACC' can play a get out of jail free card for $750k but they will have lost money on their initial investment..this will stay suspended for the foreseeable future, lets hope they have a bumper harvest..
what dya recks?
i'm not that concerned really, took a small position this time @1.93p a few weeks ago, just out of nostalgia so can't really lose much but interested to see what happens here as the story unfolds..I don't think anyones offloading shares just a few sells is all it takes to move the SP with the lousy price of oil atm..there is value in the project for someone to develop the licences properly & if he can sell at the right price it may be a little bonus for anyone left..
but best if he can keep the company ticking over until the next drill or at least till he has a plan..anymore dilution for wages & expenses will not go down well after the last 12 months of SP destruction on failed projects & poor decisions..in the final results he was banging the drum about offloading campaign costs etc but failed to mention how much money had been offloaded from the SP, which frankly was a hell of a lot right down to 0.18p in old money looking at todays price..so yes IRGS lets see a credible plan for the new year please..
sell up? & if so how much is KEA worth? There isn't much debt, a tiny producing field, three licences all with seismic done..if they could open the choke on the PUKA's, would it be worth it with oil prices in the toilet right now? I don't think we will hear anything now till the end of Q1 next year, if IRGS comes to the market for working capital this will cause concern & scrutiny with m/cap so low & overheads not matching income from oil etc..best to sell really if someone will pay £10-£15m it will be a result from where we are sat right now..
as long as someone's got cash for drilling as KEA have no cash left till the placing..
would be a good start for IRGS to look at in the new year, especially if project KEA is to become successful moving forwards, a Westminster spokesman reported earlier as the party season moved into full swing..with oil prices at 5 year lows, belt tightening will become a 'necessary evil' as micro cap oil companies look to raise cash, without tempting shareholders to move away into cash & never to return due to OTT operating expenses.. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f0/Westminster_Abbey_The_Sanctuary_London_1.jpg One local investor told our interviewer that reminders of unproductive daytime activities, followed up by expensive nights out round London, will not to be tolerated anymore & deemed unacceptable as counting the cost of cashburn would be main investors focus in the coming year..especially when funds will be required for the next round of drilling promised for Q1 2015..lavish banquets of yesteryear are to be put on hold it seems, as lower oil prices dictate the hunters from the grazers..IRGS was unavailable for comment earlier as his easyjet flight was cancelled due to bad weather.. https://www.brightsettings.com/BrightIdeas/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/banquet.jpg
LSE rules means shares cannot be issued below nominal value..any placing or issue of shares for any reason has to be above nominal value..we are well undervalued @ 0.5p..
