Thanks Luke2, that is an interesting find. From what I can see, Sao Luis is not too far from Vila do Conde, (the port they've said they propose to use), and is at a very similar distance from Araguaia etc.

That was a nice surprise - the dividend just appeared in my account :-)

But then why would the new Woodford holding be declared as "less than 5%" rather than 0 ?

Hopefully further TR1(s) will clarify, unless the shares got spread around very thinly.

Slightly wild idea, but just suppose the Pharmaxis LOXL2 deal goes through soon, and includes a significant cash component. So now Synairgen has some spare cash, and what better way of using it than to buy back its own shares from Woodford at the current depressed SP? Shareholders should be happy as they would now all own ~24% bigger slice of the company than they did before.

Could this make sense?

Don't quite feel I can "rest assured". But MM et al seem to know their stuff, and have clearly worked very hard on this; so at today's SP the risk/reward is probably as good as it gets IMO. GLA.

This recent presentation deck by Boral (especially Slides 31-62) is worth a look for anyone interested in researching the fly ash market in a bit more depth :

On the surface they appear quite sanguine about future supplies, but I think some of the details are telling. Here's a few notes I made :

1. They've seen the fly ash price rise 8/9/11% in FY17/18/19, which are larger increases than for cement. In particular, West USA is "Above average with tighter supply and high demand" (Slide 42).

2. Ready mix demand expected to grow ~4% during FY20 (Slide 41)

3. They don't seem to have any sources in our immediate area i.e. Nevada/California (Slide 34)

4. They note the specific impact of the NGS closure (Slide 40)

5. An important recent source of supply is existing landfills, which they harvest and apply beneficiation to (Slides 55, 56). This recycling is commendable of course, but I would think it must be a finite resource which will only last a few years?

6. They're looking at blending in natural pozzolans as a further means to extend supply. Their (only?) source is in Utah (Slides 52, 57)

7. In FY19 they started extending their supply by taking imports, from Mexico initially, which suggests that US supply on its own is insufficient (Slide 58)

I'd be interested in anyone else's comments/interpretation of this presentation.
