As I noted here a couple of weeks ago, ARIX is one of the 20, and is surely more liquid than TRX, having 10x mcap.

I'm not a subscriber, but according to someone on the SNG BB it says

"Last week, the fund’s stake in ReNeuron, which was part of the 20-strong portfolio, was sold to a German investment group."

Perhaps a Times subscriber could verify (or not!) ?

Yes, apparently Reneuron was one of the "WG 20" companies, which is why Link were able to sell off the shares last week, after the WG deal missed its deadline. We still don't know (AFAIK) whether TRX is in the "WG 20".

@chester18 re your Friday 13:30 post. This is what happened to Reneuron :

"Elsewhere, the wind-down of Woodford's toxic Equity Income fund – which is being managed by Blackrock and PJT Park Hill – sold its entire stake in biotechnology company Reneuron Group.

Its 16.4 per cent stake sold for roughly £8million to German private investment company Obotritia Capital."

Hi Dubliner, I'm sure you're right - mine build funding is quite a different category. So perhaps a bank loan, or possibly part of an offtake deal - I'm sure we wouldn't begrudge a large cement/perlite company a bit of a bargain if it included a hefty upfront payment!

I tend to agree with Sam, there's no harm in purely informational enquiries - the BLM people might be quite pleased that someone's taking an interest in what they do. Also, if one person makes an enquiry then shares the response here, then it's _less_ hassle than lots of people asking individually. (But people won't share if they get name-called as a result.)

Anyway, my understanding is that the TYM loss of appeal was down to reindeer - less likely to be a problem in Nevada.

The dearth of TR1s is understandable for those companies in the "WG 20", because of the exclusivity agreement which runs out at the end of this week. We don't know whether TRX is one of those, but I don't see why it wouldn't qualify.

The WG deal may well never happen (especially judging by some of the quoted comments in the article below) but in the meantime Link might by now have other offers waiting in the wings. So either way, things _might_ start happening after the end of this week.

(As an aside, regarding the definition of "illiquid", note that WG says "It plans to open a new investment fund, with the Woodford holdings at its core, but marketed as a long term, illiquid, investment suitable for high net worth investors." The WG 20 include Arix, for example, which is surely more liquid than TRX, having 10x mcap.)
