Stalled.5 Dec 2017 17:27
Not alone stalled but ver badly stalled.Let's face it we were taken for a ride here by a couple of requisitoners who really didn't know that they were biting off more than they could chew.
mcadder, I understand, and appreciate the posts by yourself and spud in which you have both tried to pitch an optimistic scenario, but the truth is that there is very little appetite by the government or those with "deep pockets" to invest hundreds of millions of pounds on the construction of gas storage in the immediate future while the price of the commodity is so volatile and while the UK is not in any pressing danger of a shortage of gas supply. In any case were construction to begin tomorrow the facilities wouldn't be completed for years so the supply position wouldn't improve in the short term.I don't think small investors put their money into small AIM companies with the intention of waiting years for a return.
Realistically our only hope is that the company will be bought or that some one of the major gas companies will invest a couple of million pounds to fund construction over the short term while they review the situation in relation to gas storagein general. It would be a pittance to invest, yet we seem to have a problem eve with that relatively small sum
I know four small investors who own approximately 12% of INFA,( me, spud, mcadder and crl123) and I also know that the lately appointed directors bought .48% between the three of them. Were these the "substantial holdings" that Adrian referred to when he was asking for our votes? Does it show commitment or confidence? I hardly think so!
Five months, ( since the dismissal of the old BOD), is a long time to wait for some kind of positive news. The ultra low price of the placing shares tells one everything. The only way the funds could be raised to keep the company afloat was to sell shares at a rock bottom price. The placing wasn't even underwritten! That's how the financial institutions viewed it.
One of the Requisitioners has already resigned from the Board and we haven't had any good news apart from the Bradshaws purchase which had nothing to do with the current management.
Look, it gives me no pleasure whatsoever to post like this. I'm losing dosh here. But one does need to face the truth rather than hope for apparently unlikely rapid turnaround.
