Considering the state of the market and the SP this looks like a pretty reasonable deal to raise some cash to keep things progressing during this difficult period, without too much dilution or dreaded cln. IMO unlocking the potential in Tunisia has to be the key to putting this on a better footing.

Anyone know if we are expecting interim report this week, because that might be an opportunity to find out something about current position and activity?

Your right Tac, in that we have no idea how hard they may be working behind the scenes to make things happens - so I can’t wait for the end of this miserable February and hope that their efforts will deliver better news in early March. I think we just have heard so little of Simon and Brian and their involvement with the company over the past 2 years, that its hard to know what to make of it. But as our money is in their hands I’ll be more than happy to congratulate them on finding a great new CEO - just soon please!

Always makes me a bit nervous when the Chairman and the CEO are the same person because who is holding who to account? That’s one reason why I would like to see a new CEO appointed ASAP.

On a more positive note, Egdon appear to have been moving things along at Wressle and we should get further updates in next few weeks. (Personally happy for them to just get on with this with minimum publicity to get it into production). Also vermillion finally got sign off from the Minister for their Corrib maintenance work - so permits can still get signed off in this post election period.

Apparently the Chairman and the Acting CEO have fallen out, blaming each other for the poor performance over the past 3 months.

Looking at today’s pattern of trade prices, I think that buys may have outweighed sales slightly. But still agree that this share is in limbo and no real change is likely until we get someone in to drive forward the company - over 3 months now without a CEO - don’t think that reflects well on our Chairman.

The search should have started 21st November if not before, depending on who pulled the trigger!

Not able to buy on line via my broker today, but can sell as many as I like for over 1.30. Don’t know if this means shares are in short supply at present?

Tac thanks for the link. Looking there at previous consultation for vermilion maintenance inspection, it cleared all the consultations by end of November - but still no ministerial sign off - and that’s just for maintenance. That that looks to me like the real cause of the slow down in activity, and when we clear the consultation stages we will end up waiting on a Minister.

I suppose that depends on the opportunity and the timing. We should have money left over from the raising as a lot was earmarked for Ireland surveys which haven’t taken place and I suspect 2 out of 3 won’t take place in the near future. Even Inishkea may not happen until late summer with the current Irish political confusion. Hopefully by late summer we will have revenues flowing in from Wressle so we should have some level of funding available. Not seeing any farm out agreements in Ireland at present - probably no one is in a hurry to commit their money until they see what kind of Gov emerges and their views on exploration.

Yes, except I think they have already had a massive influence over the past year on the Gov which has been desperate to win Green votes and has therefore been avoiding anything that the Greens might criticise them for, such as signing off permits etc..In Government, probably after some initial sound bites for their base, they will actually have to make decisions on priorities which may be helpful for Inishkea progress.

But then AIM is partly about generating interest and excitement through new possibilities and newsflow - which is why prices seem to drift downwards even when nothing is changing/happening. And we are short of new opportunities at present to generate interest (the joker in the pack may be Inishkea but I don’t think we really know where we are with this) and we seem to be cutting back the portfolio. On the upside this may mean that the value of bringing Wressle on stream is being undervalued for now (as its not “new and sexy”) and this may come in nearer the time, and will certainly give the new CEO a kitty to land some new opportunities. Here’s hoping for a positive rns on some progress re a CEO soon as this must surely be the next step on any road to recovery.

Well it’s what we’ve got, so let’s hope he has a moment of inspiration when it comes to appointing the next CEO, as nothing is going to change before then.
