993444 - yet another potential customer we can lease electrolyte to.
Added to my list, so I can keep track of new VRFB projects. I'm hopeful that Bushveld Energy will have a very healthy order book.
gkb47 - with the abundance of renewable energy news, energy storage is key. Hope they'll all be building VRFBs to meet demand.
All good. Thanks :)
Very true Faramog, the future is bright :)
For quick reference, the key players in the VRFB market are considered to be:-
Sumitomo Electric Industries, Rongke Power, UniEnergy Technologies (UET), redT Energy, Vionx Energy, Big Pawer, Australian Vanadium, Golden Energy Fuel Cell, H2 Inc.
I hope that all of the above are successful, as the one thing VRFBs need regardless of who makes them is electrolyte.
If only there were a vertically integrated primary vanadium producer, that will produce it's own electrolyte. Oh, wait!
And just like the classic 'War and Peace', BBN's posts will be re-read and referred to again and again :)
With regard to VRFBs, I'm still learning but would would say UET, Rongke Power - see link.

Another great news article SloppyGuiseppe
Interesting to read “It is difficult to comment on other battery metals such as vanadium and rare earths as there are very few pure play listed companies.”
Patience is key, but time flies and we're in pole position.

In addition to Nickderby's excellent summary, newbies or potential investors should check out the articles published in The Bushveld Perspective.
The articles written and researched by respected LTHs cover BMN's vision, fundamentals and growth potential, Bushveld Energy and our project with Eskom, the Vametco mining process, trading analysis and much more. There's also an article on what attracted newbies to BMN.
Great to read a couple on a lunch break or for the longer articles, pop the kettle on, put your feet up and enjoy.

@dubmaskskullanga, regarding a community arrangement, I found this article about 3 museums exploring shared microgrids interesting.

In Africa, 600 million people still live without electricity. Nice video on how World Bank support is changing this and the socio-economic advantages. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9vFlDh3var0&feature=youtu.be
The World Bank Group has committed $1 billion to a new global programme to accelerate investments in battery storage for energy systems in developing and middle-income countries. https://www.esi-africa.com/1bn-invested-in-scaling-up-battery-storage-developments/
Step forward Bushveld Energy, see links below (thank you BigBiteNow and TBP)

North Africa and the Middle East too. Egypt just built the world's largest solar power plant and Saudi Arabia are investing $200 billion in solar energy projects.

I started investing in BMN just over 3 months ago. I was underwater for a month but now I'm 39% up. That's a fantastic return. I feel fortunate to have found BMN and genuinely pleased for investors rewarded for having the faith and patience to hold long and strong. My holding is modest compared to most Bushies but I had to pinch myself when the share price passed 35p. I hit a savings milestone I thought would be out of reach for years. You can imagine how I felt when we touched 50p. The retrace is disappointing but I'm not concerned. With upcoming news I expect us to get there again in the near future. Best of luck everyone.
Thanks Mrremmy and Alfa. Looking forward to hearing more news on this.
Vanadium will be great for EV batteries, especially as it's more stable. Vanadium is our main product, but I can imagine that if the Lithium-ion Vanadium Phosphate batteries do well, we may consider mining some of our phosphate to meet demand.
Never mind, found the same video on ATM website, http://afritinmining.com

Blimey, thought July blast was big, wonder what the first large-scale blast in December was like.
I'm a bit confused....on Afritin Mining's YouTube channel a video was uploaded 6 months ago of a mining blast.
I thought the first blast only happened a month ago.

Fellow Bushy @Mrremmy tweeted a couple of graphs yesterday https://mobile.twitter.com/harvrem/status/1080779232752619520
They show:-
1: 'EV manufacturers focus on increasing energy density of EV batteries, thus moving to different lithium-ion formulations, some of which include vanadium'.
The graph included VRFBs and batteries composed of Lithium Vanadium Phosphate.
2: If successful, vanadium uses in electric vehicles could start in the mid to late 2020's, when the EV market would be even larger.
It's future demand for vanadium and Bushveld Minerals also has a phosphate resource, that it doesn't mine at present. Grades in the phosphate zone range between 2% and 5% phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5).
I know P205 is mainly used in fertilizers, but do you think we could mine/process some of our phosphate for EV / HEV batteries? That market could be huge.
Thanks to Mrremmy - hope he doesn't mind me pinching his tweet again to share here.
Pdub, glad to hear you're on the mend, hope you'll be out of hospital soon. Thanks for posting those figures. I didn't see any shooting stars during the meteor shower last night, but easy to see BMN's meteoric rise over the last two years. As you stated, patience is key to the past and future great returns on investment. If circumstances allow, I hope to hold the majority of my shares until the Bushveld Energy story is in full flow. Exciting times ahead.
RK, thanks also to you for continuing to contribute your valued posts at a challenging time. Your positive and generous spirit is admirable.
Best wishes and GLA
