I've taken a copy for future reference, but is it possible to have this added to TBP, e.g. Mining 101?

It would help newbies, or the scientifically challenged like myself appreciate the value of Vametco, Brits and Mokapane. I now have a better understanding of the Q3 Ops update, especially the assay results and waste calcines.

Also, as new investors focused on Vanadium, it's easy to overlook that BMN has an abundance of other valuable metals, i.e.Titanium and Iron. I recently read the Bushveld Vanadium Scoping Study results (July 2014), it stated there is "Potential to extract additional value from the ~650,000 tonnes per annum of iron-rich calcine dumps (~54% Fe, 0.27% V2O5, 11.4% TiO2)". When you see the percentages of valuable ore assets we have, it blows your mind.

I've never much cared for Eccleston as an actor, and David Tennant was my favourite Doctor Who.

As an amateur investor, I found an article helpful (link below). It's a brief and simple explanation of fundamental analysis. As newbies (and oldies) to BMN, we're very fortunate to have the Bushveld Perspective. We also have experienced investors who generously share their knowledge and research here, but we're always encouraged to 'DYOR'.

As BMN's share price is rising and we're a hot chat topic, a few potential newbies have asked 'why invest'? As the article states, some good research basics are:-

How profitable is the company?
What is their cash flow situation (i.e. are they taking in more than they are paying out)?
What is their business model?
Who are their competitors?
How solid is their management team?

Take a look at the article and compare BMN. The future growth potential for BMN is incredible, but so are our fundamentals.

Why, if Nick Hodge knows so much about the next best investment in Vanadium doesn't he mention BMN? His article was ok to begin with (explaining the benefits of V) but then became exhausting. Typical US hyperbole Ad bait for his investing tips.

And @1210, don't get me started on that YouTube video. The presenter, again extols V but only mentions Glencore, Largo and his own Co (of course). Hello, what about BMN? I wanted to be in the audience so I could jump up and shout Bushveld Minerals, Bushveld Minerals anyone?? Ready right now, check us out, fully integrated, fully charged! (thank you BBN)

My laptop's broken and my ancient android phone has small screen. It won't let me enhance certain TBP slides or Trade Analysis graphs, but I enjoy your TA comments. And I can see fellow Bushy share chat, always a bonus.

As my BMN investment is doing very well, think I'll treat myself to a tablet in the Black Friday sales.

Further to the questions in my original post, I've tried to research this a bit more.

After extracting the 1.75% Vanadium, is the remaining 98.25% (stuff we don't want) mine-waste calcine?

Yesterday's RNS mentions calcines in the 'Other projects underway' section; it states:-

"· Tailings facility expansion: to maintain deposition capacity for depositing the calcines (which need to be deposited on a H:H liner) as part of ongoing operations will now be completed by end of Q4 2018 and deposition commence during Q1 2019".

What happens to the calcines after they are shipped?
Can any of it be recycled?

Again, apologies if these are odd questions, I'm trying to get a better understanding of mining operations.

I've been wading through the abundance of yesterday's posts. What a great day for us.

There were a few posts about mining operations and lower Vanadium grades. It's my understanding that BMN has some of the highest grades in the world. Apologies in advance if I've taken anything out of context, or the following are daft questions:-

If we get lower grades, is this caused by how it's extracted, or is it due to different grades of Vanadium within the ore?

Ophidian commented in one of his posts that "% of Vanadium in the ore is very important but if you think about it at even 1.75% there is still 98.25% of stuff you don't want".

What does BMN do with the 98.25 stuff we don't want?

Really good article JMC69, particularly liked the quote:-

Thanks for sharing Endion, a moving account. It's hard to imagine what our servicemen experienced, a lot were very young too. My Grandfather wasn't in the armed forces but served in the Merchant Navy. In WW1 he was only 14 yrs old when his ship came under attack. He survived but died during WW2 when a U-boat sunk his ship transporting iron ore for the war effort. Lest we forget.

Expert, Ha! Oops, not a cucumber... I got a C in maths. You got an artichoke, lol, that's impressive. They have that Fibonacci sequence thingy going on....just looks like a pretty pattern to me :)

Joking aside, as long as I have a calculator I can see BMN is doing much better than my old investments would have. Unless my circumstances change, I'm holding long term and look forward to seeing how the BMN story unfolds. Never thought investing could be this riveting.
