Yes, regarding my effort re free-float, I was pointed in the right direction by someone on the PHE board. I’m sure you’re right, also.

When? That really is guess work.

The last rerate took about 8 weeks so, hypothetically, if the next rerate was to start in the next couple of weeks - then hopefully within 8 weeks of that. But it is a guesstimate and is totally dependent on DP getting some large deals across the line.

My chart says probably 10p @ the 3.618 mark. So I'll go with that. Just off out to look for a new house. ;)

There a was a BBC piece on Surescreen this morning, saying something along the lines of “Surescreen is the first UK diagnostics company given the go-ahead to produce Covid LFTs”.

Very similar wording to the recent government press-release:

For there to be enough LFTs in time for half-term, UK manufacturing has to be ready to take the strain within 4 weeks. They must be ramping up production now. And it all fits with PR coming from the government.

Anyone know if the new Surescreen factory is built? Because they said it’d create 1000 jobs, but the Surescreen chap on the TV this morning said 300-something. Which makes me think their new capacity isn’t online. That and they only announced it 3 months ago!

All the Chinese contracts end July 2022. Omega Diagnostic’s ends Feb 2023. Be nice if ODX gets theirs quadrupled too; seems to be a lot of quadrupling going around LFT contracts today. ;)

At the time of the last ODX results, the UK was using more LFTs than the total output of all UK manufacturing capability. Today, the UK government just quadrupled the value of the tenders.

What about the recent contract awards for £800 million Chinese tests? They’re part of the same March 5th £8 billion second call, too - unless I’m mistaken. Or were you just referring to UK companies?

GDR’s market for PCRs was/is shrinking. The market for LFTs is growing, quite dramatically, seemingly.

They’ve quadrupled the value of the tenders, by the look of it.

Given that it’s taken in it nearly 2 years to mutate to Mu (more deadly), to reverse and then go on to become a “benign” common cold - it's probably going to overshoot next spring - by about 5 or 6 years.

Even if – IF - the wheels did fall off Evergrandie (I don’t think they will) surely a manufacturer of LFTs, in a pandemic, will be ok. It's not like ODX are going to be in their supply chain. If ODX goes wrong, it won’t be because of Evergrandie - imo.
