I’ve been buying a few more, too. The demand for coalswitch must be huge, surely. Enormous upside if this comes off.

A mock-up is what designers do to give their client an idea of what their order could look like. Displaying it on a webpage gives the client an idea what it'll look like in situe.

I saw that too.

The image looks professional, but a professional mock-up. If you look closely at it the edges don’t align - suggesting a mock-up. Also the webpage looked very plain, but was accessible from a phone, meaning someone went to the trouble of deploying that page to an actual server.

I think it’s a genuine mock-up for internal demonstration purposes. Just an opinion, have no proof, other than the nagging feeling that if was a fraud out to deceive they’d have had “NHS not for resale”emblazoned on it. It doesn’t. It looks like a designer’s mock-up (to me).

Margin, margins, margins. You only sell cheap if you have to. Like it or not, these testing companies clearly don't think they have to (sell cheap).

Agree it should be regulated to protect us consumers.

These companies can only charge exorbitant prices if they’re expecting huge demand. Like what happened with the PCRs; there was ridiculous pricing - while at the same time - pictures of 1-meter stacks of uncollected tests, circulating on Twitter.

Looks like the test providers are anticipating the same huge surge in demand. (Judging by their pricing).

Ok, I just saw the bespoke thing for £100, but point still stands. The higher the average pricing the more the anticipated demand.

Suppliers pricing high. Only do that if they're expecting huge demand. Unless there is some justification for a £100 LFT I'm unaware of.

Or put another way: demand is expected to far outstrip supply.

The linked document is an addendum; perhaps to the document containing the list of tests that passed.

It looks like they only count LFD results that are reported.

I take 3 tests a week and have never reported any; they've all been negative. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that doesn't report negative tests. Is there a resource that says how many get sent out? Probably be more useful.

All care home staff, NHS staff, etc. have to self-test twice a week. Many customer facing roles have this requirement. Even lorry drivers need to.
