This just shows how irrelevant that published price is. Firstly, it's delayed. Secondly, order book matching can and does occur away from the "mid price": for stocks with lower liquidity, trade prices can fluctuate significantly between the bid and ask prices. If a stock is thinly traded, a single trade at an outlier price (e.g., at the ask during a buying surge) could differ from the displayed price, which might reflect a more stable or averaged figure.
