Sigh. This is all either quite pathetic or someone is spread betting. The reason the price is swinging is simply because no one is buying or selling this share - it's probably under £10k in both directions which is as close to zero as you'll get. And much more importantly - there's no news so even if the share price did move solidly (on significant volume) it would unlikely be permanent. Once again, the share price - in isolation! - is irrelevant. The share price *on news* is what's relevant.

Quite - although it will always be more than 15 minutes delayed. When actually placing orders, the correct place to look is the actual quote for your order which will often be a fixed quote valid for a period of time, usually 30 - 60 seconds.

I do my best. Overall he's saying that as of that meeting there's nothing that would signal a change to the mid May start target but that it's an incredibly complex initiative, not controlled by Quadrise, and that something unforeseen could very well crop up between now and then.

MacF1 - agreed but the objective here is for a year target at, conservatively, 50p. Target, mind but still, that's why we're holding this instead of an index tracker. Now, that's a 1000% gain from where we are now and it'd be 18%-24% of that. So whatever the spread is, it's worth it if Quadrise succeeds and irrelevant if it doesn't.

MacF1 - you say that but HSBC markets what they call a "raise and ISA" which is a bad and ISA. But I got a 4.5/4.7 spread on mine. Who knows where the trade went but I still got whacked with a spread. I suppose if there's volume about that can fill it themselves...

There is no such service - it is simply selling your stock and then buying stock again within an ISA. And yes, there will be a spread as there would be with any other sale and purchase.
