It should be taken for granted everything would be done by the book. I would imagine that anyone suggesting the contrary has an ulterior motive.

The trouble is Heid, if there is a placing it will be cheaper than it should have been because the SP will drop, costing shareholders more of their percentage of the company.

Croc, selling shares which have not been officially approved has been a practice on AIM for a number of years. It is a type of share shorting, with the short being closed when the new shares are officially issued.

As DB has said the placing may not happen, I assume this forward selling has not taken place, although there were a lot of 50k trades on Friday.

This happened last year. It seems apparent that big selling started late August (before consolidation of course).
August 18th - share price 0.2925
August 31st - share price 0.265
September 4th - share price 0.2375 (the day it was first posted on this bb about a £7m placing)
September 10th - share price 0.1775 (David Bramhill RNS re market speculation being correct)
September 17th placing price at 0.16 (£7m)

Surely now that this current placing has been disclosed, he won't go through with it, in order to prevent what happened last year and to protect shareholder's investments. After all, it seems only about £1.5m is for the Royalty, the rest (£3.5m) is odds and sods, if TW's figure is to be believed.

Agreed THRAMBEE. In the face of this weak US leadership, it seems UK/European energy security is severely at risk. We need to boost our own supplies in the UK in my opinion. I just hope our government are strong enough to see it through. Hopefully XR are going to turn public opinion so strongly against eco warriors, that Boris will feel he has opinion polls in his favour if he takes power away from councillors on projects of national importance, and give it to Anne Marie Trevelyan, Minister for energy.
