RE: Calibre video28 Jun 2023 00:41
E L, Omi has problems with joint venture, Cey and Shg have Odey as a shareholder selling down. Equinox , slightly up. I think there probably has been a bit of a hit re politics but small compared to sanctions and pog has been on defensive for a while. For Cnr I think lack of any positive news is more likely responsible for 30% drop from 34 p .
It is fact that the rns informing the intention to go for sale claimed the finance for construction was pulled because of sanctions and market risk aversion. Markets react to perceived risk . Calibre share price halved on this news . The geo political are worsening over time and it is quite possible that further sanctions from us may follow. Always consider the possible risk imv. Regarding previous nationalisation. From v early 1980s pog was in a decline and took 25 years to visit its early 80s peak so not the best timing. et’s not forget though that a lot of Cnr resource was a simple conversion of Russian exploration estimates.
Quicker a sale is agreed the better.
Ben, nobody’s paying $300 for us . Obviously you have to add $110 or 160 m construction fees on top and a 2 year wait for any income. Currently Shg , about to be 100k oz producer , with a high grade exploration project close to Cnr is valued sub £100 m just for reference.
Let’s have an offer please, so we can move on, I cannot bare the idea that after a massive Mellon giveaway last Xmas that we might have to go to plan b and yet more dilution and thumb twiddling for more years.
