Itis a very complex situation.there are many sections of society at odds with noriega.the church ,natives,artisanal miners,environmentalists and ex sandinistas that see him as a sell out and self serving. Mc has done exactly the right thing imo.you have to appreciate his experience in el salvador will have made him cautious.I would be surprised if he isnt weighing up the possible outcomes.If noriega falls cnr need to remain in a good position. Personally I hope he goes peacefully and a stable gvnt is formed.I cannot see all the opposition just disapearing without some major concessions.I cannot imagine the current situation being a good backdrop for a pc personally. It is liable to attract anti gvnt sentiment.could be bad timing imo.much better under a new administration I think provided they are pro mining. there is always the possibility that residents will like living on top of a mine less than being moved. I have no concerns about the company ,my concerns are the political situation.my comments about the church were not in respect to condor but the protests against the gvnt and most environmental issues.I still have a reasonable holding here and hope everything works out but ignoring the new risks would be folly. Absolutely taking account of the added risks and thinking it is worth the risk is fine.to deny the increased risks or make light of them is not for me.I dont know how much help mc can be to me in that respect.He is hardly going to say its getting real serious, we may have problems is he.But I will give it a go.debate on this issue is obviously not appreciated by most here so good luck but no whingeing further down the line pleease!

If you google rancho grande protest and la libertad protests or el limon you may find things that would infer an increasing mis trust of miners and .5000 people protesting against b2 isnt just a simple aplication for planning turned down.you will also find the catholic church in support of the protests just as in managua recently.you might like to check why the eu stopped aid to nicaragua.what I get through hours and hours of reading is that the ortega regime has become more corrupt and self serving and manipulates power and gradually people are ready to show dissent.how far it will go is anyones guess presently but plainly there is more to it than just social security and if you havnt read anything to this effect you cant be researching very hard.you may or may not like to check the van humboldt center nicaragua in regards to mining or b2 All of which doesnt alter the fact that all could be hunky dory for cnr. Mc has been a rare aim ceo .so lets see what happens,but with open eyes.ihave never been one to predict timescales here unlike the we will be sold this time next year or the permits will be here soon characters.no guarantees but we cant have a better guy at the helm .news will determine our share price one way or the other ,so lets hope for the best all round.

Even though he wrongly stated when he bought in,wrongly stated that he bought in in a gold bear market when in fact he bought in at the height of the gold price and stated that the protests had gone quiet. Well as I have previously stated I am not good with computers so dont know how to do links but I suggest if you want to call me out (a) you dont be such a hipocrite and (b) do your own research. if you type in unrest in nicaragua ,or b2 gold mining in nicaragua or corruption.you will find plenty of information. Try reading through everything that comes up.then you could try googling sandinista samoza war.then sandinista contra war to get some background .the canal project is not new news or b2 gold permit refusal but further reading about the oposition to various projects may throw a different light on the protests.

The protests have progressed to calling for the corrupt leader and his wife to go.you would be better using romanian protests to remove ceausecu or in ukraine ,libya ,syria etc would be a more reasonable analogy.it may well be that ortegas removal will not be a bad thing for cnr longterm and the nicaragua people. Time will tell but investors are wise to consider the possible ramifications of serious unrest. Possible best case for cnr holders and nicaraguas people is ortega goes peacefully and nicaragua progresses . Been doing quite a bit of reading and it seems to me that b2gold together with the authorities and the canal project has stirred up a lot of anti mining and govnt feeling.the catholic church is involved with many of the protests .its not just a few tree huggers. He is being compared to samoza,the dictator that the sandinistas removed through much bloodshed.the us sponsored contra war cost 30,000 lives,the sandinista war 50,000 lives. Anyone equating this to a day out in london is off the mark I fear. I hope that there is a fair and safe ending for the nicaraguan people as well as cnr .good luck all.

Lol,exactamundo.and neither are my posts or testers.I am back up to half full.I certainly dont claim to be particularly clever.It didnt take much brains to work out when the news came out about unrest and cnr was down like 8-10 per cent that it was likely to drop a whole lot more so 50 p is a good exit 54 would have been better but missed that dithering.However I dont have a crystal ball and have never traded all of my shares.have consistently stated this.39 p sounded good for buying while others moaned,i posted that it was a buying opportunity no previous " de ramping" to get a lower price.just as 68 sounded reasonable to sell months earlier.but if I have half in and half out I am ok both ways round.seems simple to me.if we multi bag overnight all good if we halve loads more shares for mr red.although this is the first time that I actually dont want lower prices because it will most likely be because the political situation has got worse. Personally preferring cryptos.eth over double in less than a month. I was in oxus gold leading up to their arbitration decision.most posters were in to the death and nothing could go wrong.myself and one other poster recomended de risking when there were opportunities .derision ensued.there were opportunities.a couple of months later the board was full of posters who couldnt believe what had happened and many regretting not being a bit more cautious having dismissed anything slightly negative.However I still Took a hit .Different scenario and I am not saying that cnr will have any problems but the risks here have increased and it would be ridiculous not to consider this. the news will determine the sp not me or tester.gla

Hi,like you I am a modest holder but still a lot for my circumstances.which is why I trade some of my shares.I have been open about that,sold when I think the sp is turning and bought back on the drops.I have never de ramped to buy back in.others have done a fair job of that. Mark has done a great job ,agreed we have a great resource and impressive investors.politics is the one thing totally out of mc control .ortega has a long term to serve ye,so it is unlikely to be sorted through an election unless one is called early.the protests aims appear to have changed and now include justice for the many killed protestors. The more time I spend reading reports on nicaragua the more complicated it seems.save to say there is a lot more than social security behind this.as you say if ortega were to leave things may well be easier who knows but time schedules will likely change too.time will tell.gla

As usual wg,you are spouting rubbish.theres no despoerate effort needed to buy back.I bought at 20 percent under what I sold for.this misguided idea that refering to the new risks is somehow going to make the sp drop rather than the actual facts is ridiculous.share price has been stable this week.it all depends now on news from cnr and definitely how the political situation pans out.if the politics calms down all well and good .if it takes a turn for the worse the share price absolutely will follow. Any one who thinks these protests are a storm in a teacup may be in for a shock.as has been said before,junior mining is risky so good luck to all that hold through thick and thin.However making people out to be disloyal for playing safe or lowering their average is silly.I have been re buying just below the price our directors paid recently. i was buying at 39 while you were whinning about pr.so I guess you were helping me buy lower. Noted Barnard which hopefully is a positive move.and as I say full marks that mark is off while officially our gvnt is warning against travel.Never had any doubts of marks comittment and skill as a ceo.as many have said over the last year or two,the delays are at the gvnt end.Hopefully this may be on the way ironically when the political stability is becoming somewhat less stable. A great buying opportunity at 45p with imminent permits one would have to say if you believe that . i am cautious,not negative.Hoping for good news but also will not be shocked if another hurdle arises. It seems that the catalyst for protests.However with people likening him to the samoza regime that the sandinistas fought and defeated it isnt the whole story.changing the constitution so he can run indefinitely,having his wife as his deputy,stopping international observers during elections and family ownership of much of the media and accusations of unfair election all must help to fuel it. Nicaragua has been supported by venezuala but venezuela is having its own problems also.both being strong socialist / marxist regimes that usa has tried an continues to undermine.eg iran contra arms during Reagan admin along with trade bans. The latest protest was calling for justice for the many killed in the previous protest,which included the catholic church,so it would seem he has lost the support of the catholic church which is very influential in south america. It is early days to know where this will go but anybody who dismisses the risks of this situation should maybe read the history of nicaragua in the last 50 years and the death toll during the sandinista fight for social justice and later the contra sandinista conflict. If ortega was to be ousted it needn't be bad news in the long run for cnr though, British gvnt advising against travelling to nicaragua so full marks to our ceo for heading there right now.lets hope he has a fruitful mission.

With all due respect,there was no actual information,but intimations of information that cant be shared.he could have disclosed the same information as you and af,which is useful.you are correct Nobody has to substantiate anything on a public forum,unfortunately that is how many people get misled.not that I am saying that is the case.but if we all post in this manner it would be a bit dangerous. Anyhow off out now and I very much hope his optomism is rewarded for all of us.

Well,you do tend to think pr is going to sort everything out so maybe pats found a job. Pat was saying that a couple of posts on here were driving the share price down.misguided in my opinion so it also follows that he may well think the opposite is true. Maybe mc has furnished him with news that makes him so ubber confident .lets hope so.many here have been posting that for a while that they think permits are close .I am sorry but a couple of unsubstantiated posts from pat is not enough to change the situation for me.he cant confirm if it was a phone call or email? I have never accepted or predicted timescales as its an unknown.Anyhow time will tell.heres hoping for a quick resolution.personally if permits come soon and we have a major re rate I will cash in straight away a fair proportion as the political risks will still remain in my mind .good luck all

Well patryk claimed to have bought in at the height of the bear market 7 years ago and cnr is safer now than then.well he bought in 6 years ago at the height of the gold price ,near cnr high and when nicaragua was deemed a politically stable country.so I am treating his intimations of having potentially sensitive information with some scepticism. i hope he is correct about maybe imminent permits as lets be honest that is pretty much the stage we have been at for a long time.I have nothing negative to say about cnr or mark at all as all of my posts bear out.However to totally discount a major change in the political stability is foolhardy in my opinion.that doesnt mean that cnr will be impacted at all,who knows but the risks have changed.I have rebought a few at 41.5 now but still waiting to see how things pan out. Share price actually holding pretty well but dependant on further developments.Seems a fair bet that if the political situation worsens so will the share price so lets hope stability prevails .I dont think patryk can advise us on that one. good luck all

So you bought when gold was at its historic peak in 2012 not in a bear market just to be clear.gold price hit 1800 usd in 2012 I believe. Early doors in a discovery tend to be the best times share price wise for explorers as I have gradually learnt unless a sale happens.currently we have long delays in permitting,some protests at el limon and a previously stable gvnt with mass protests with protestors being killed.It absolutely isnt safer now than in 2012.That said it doesnt mean cnr will not get permits etc but I believe the uncertainties will continue to hit the share price until they are granted.I will be happier waiting after re buying much lower than my sell.it just seems sensible to limit your risks as much as possible.I was happy to be getting my buys in at 39 -40 p while most were complaining a few months ago.having been in here since 2010 I have learnt just sitting on your hands is not the best way personally. I hope our permits arrive soon.if they arrive soon and I get locked out then so be it.I still have some in.but if I re buy in the thirties or twenties then all the better for a re rate.as I say the winners here are the buyers at 16 p previously. Anyhow I sincerely hope to see the day we sail past your �1.20 and we all make cash.fingers crossed.

Well patryk I have been in here since autumn 2010 so 8 years .I bought at 0.90 p . I suspect that you bought after consolidation,which wasnt 7 years ago. I have never paid more than 6 p old money .mostly between 39 and 70p since consolidation I remember saying to you in the eighties when you were moaning that it pays to split your pot and trade say 25 per cent.if you bought 7 years ago I think you will find that gold went to 1800 usd per oz.dont mean to be picky .so your assertion that it was more risky than now is debateable.I suspect it feels like 7 years but is more likely about 5. A company like b2 is not a one trick pony so not at so much risk. Anyhow,cnr is a well run company with a good resource and good investors.I still hold about a third of my shares.I tend to agree with you that the gvnt is likely to have recomended the change of plan re resettlement.as far as delays are concerned ,who can say,we have no real timescale to judge against.lets just hope things calm down soon and the permits come this quarter.it is good that funding is out of the way so the company is safe for the foreseeable. Re crypto bubble.if you put money in bitcoin cash two weeks ago it would have made over 100 per cent gain.unfortunately i got etherium which is not doing as well but still up considerably.not sure crypto bubble has burst or had a pull back.still massively up on a year ago,just st down considerably from jan high.
