Rrr owned el limon mine in Colombia which has been mentioned as a possibility. It was a disaster and riddled with corruption and virtually given away. Colombia is a very corrupt country and being beholden could be dangerous. It would be best to be masters of your own destiny but it will take time . Will Omi be independent by then? Who knows.personally happy to look for spikes on news to sell into.

I am interested to know if sprott is out! The news that he had joined added confidence for me here. One thing for sure is that he likes bigger holdings than a couple of% so would expect to see it expand. He added at hycroft around the time of their mre which was very close to ours!

Pedro, is it not the case that as well as the gold price bull run , the poor performance at previously helped give a window for that rise. Not knocking anybody who may have bought at the bottom in hopes of a rescue rather than bankruptcy? Well done anybody that timed buying Mtl to take advantage of the sp over last few years. I wonder how many Mtl holders were here in 2011 when the share price was higher than today annd rode it down to 1 p? Obviously the crash in share price is part of the story?

Liq, yes there is a difference. However wasn’t being stressed when phillipines was apparently going to be the other half of a two pronged business was it. He was the messiah in all forms.

Personally unlike most Cnr holders my value expectation was 40-45 p based on comparisons so wasn’t a giveaway .

The not so good part was the IOUs, particularly the exploration one. First pour fair enough. So it is not surprising that Cnr peeps are more bothered about drilling results is it. We are still owed there!

Made plenty of predictions dr that were correct unlike you. Not making share price predictions as that is silly. I just buy when it makes sense and sell when it makes sense. It made sense at 35-40 p. Just think doc using same strategy you could have turned those 2 m into 4 million. Only using legals dumbo arithmetic you would be losing money and your average would say 20 p if you bought at 20 p even though you wouldn’t have added a penny. Wolfonomics for you. Who wants 2 m free shares when you can bury new money at 20 p😂

Fact is that Mtl is transitioning from a one jurisdiction producer to a one jurisdiction producer with a great mine life .

For all the flak that mc eventually got , he successfully did what db has failed to do which is a successful exploration and ready to mine project. Obviously Mtl royally messed up to start but they have had the benefit of a sustained bull market to turn things around. I think the scenario would obviously be somewhat different if the turnaround was 5 years previous. Cnr contended with a sustained bear market .

Tying up with Mtl was obviously better than Cnr raising the cash if they could have because it would have meant much more dilution. Cnr holders mainly failed to see this problem right up to the announcement of a sale begining. Unfortunately peeps get a little too attached to shares and switch off parts of their brain to suit.

Mtl main issue to me is still geo political. It may well not affect the project but geo politicals do affect sentiment which affects share prices.

The latest sanctions do warn of trouble to come as well as the Ortega family firms actions.

Dr, if you remember , I was in nicely in Mstr . All the while peeps were saying Omi were weeks from deal fisnalise in Feb 2024. I sold Shg when they anounced deal and heaped in to Mstr at $50 when Omi finally finalised in Nov Mstr peaked at$ 480 .

I have a good position here, in my pf. My shares were bought sub 5 p . My average was 3.7 at breakout.

However there are times when other shares and other sectors are performing better. I have had a great run in tech over the last year and wouldn’t put in here when there are better rewards in eg cipher, iren and a host of ai companies! I am happy accumulating free shares here but not deluded enough to think there arnt better investment opportunities to be had at different times

My predictions doc are based on facts not hopium.

I worked out the cash burn and correctly forcasting two cash raises! I did predict problems with majors, petro being elected, problems with phase 2 snd when the $ 2 m would run out! All which you disagreed with! Your only claim to fame is that the share price went on a run on completion of the deal. I never disagreed with that. I disagreed correctly with the silly timescale . I did disagree with your silly claim that an mre would be coming jan 2025.

I am positive on Omi currently and it is one of my largest holdings but if it should have problems I have plenty of other extractives as well as crypto and tech shares.

Dr , if you look on your l2 you can see that I rebought those shares the same day . Look at the cash total not no of shares. However sold more ammounts between 36-40 p. Re bought some in low 30 s some low 20s and some sub 20 p. I also sold at 28 p when you were buying and at 36 p when our aeronautics poster was allegedly buying. I had more limit sells on over 40 p that would have executed had the mre not been lower than expected!

You are correct , daily fluctuations are no biggie, you mention ggp being down. Yes from what was recently an ath. Omi is at 23 p, I sold some at 40 p 3 months ago. You could have sold much more than me but you are too clever to do that and re buy at half price. Just like you held from 40 p- 2 p . You are clever enough to do the same again if it should happen and take the sheeple with you again.

Icb, hi. I am also an equinox shareholder and previously calibre. I liked Ross Beaty a lot when he bought in to Cnr and took a warier view when he exited.

It is not clear why calibre didn’t move for Cnr, I seem to remember that calibre stated they didn’t receive reply form Cnr. The one thing I failed to see coming with Cnr was that Cnr would be bought by another uk minnow financially supported by another tax evading brexity selling billionaire. Of all the mining companies on the planet it passes from one brexiteer to another. Bound to have been the best deal😂

I don’t imagine equinox selling its nica assets. It’s printing cash and cost peanuts. $100 m with 2 working plants!

I hold many shares that sprott holds. Element seemed to think he doesn’t hold here any more. Still listed on Google. It is a small holding for him here so far. He has held outcrop for many years and around 19% . He is about 43% in hycroft and long time supporter of mako mining. I have given mako mining as a reference for Omi numerous times. Extremely high grade open pit in Nicaragua with small working mine also in us and 2 development projects. Anyone that sees multi bagger from here in Omi really should consider mako as a much further down the rd play

These are recent drill results from concession bought from Cnr. Their current nica production is close to 8 g/t .

Sprott himself states that he has had more losers than winners but it is how much you back your winners.

For someone trying to transform their finances from a much lower point the longterm return would not be very helpful. Anyhow we are heading to the reward end now which we are still all guessing about but in a further bull market and good production scenario could give good upside from here.

Slippery, yes 3 kids v expensive. All adults now but the expense doesn’t subside lol. My first Cnr buy was about .95 p old money, from memory around same time. Lesson learnt is make the most of early stage spikes. £1.50-2 was easy to bag. 10 years later struggling to get out of the 20s. I am more than happy to take profits out of explorers currently and many have done well.

Obviously 300% return over that period is not very good but for you with good financial grounding and a big stake it’s still a lot of actual cash but for someone who say could only afford that initial couple of k but in 2010, 8 k won’t even buy a decent secondhand car. So obviously circumstances make things different .

Anyhow, we have had some banter over the years but consider it good mannered fun unlike some of the characters that patroll these BBs.

I am aiming to fully retire and live off pension and investing(gambling) while travelling soon. So much easier nowadays to trade on the move.

Stoneo, are you benefitting from pin the tail on on the sp? Do you hold, shorting , trading or is it just sport? I am curious. For me, my aim is to accumulate as many shares as possible for as little outlay as possible.thats why I trade. I don’t buy the ramp posts but do see opportunity to make even more profits here by using my nose and trading. 40 p was obviously a case of pump and dump , but had the mre been higher we could have probs retained a far higher price than currently but Omi is now well funded and doing exactly what they should be doing, drilling!

A tip for you, Bitcoin is in its bear cycle, likely to be a big pullback before sept . Mstr and bitminers when they get hammered . 27/28 will be good for Bitcoin. Circle has done well over last couple of months but will be massive in coming years. I have Mtl, they are ok but wouldn’t have it as major holding.

That is a fairly standard and sensible strategy. Running for free is very liberating and there is always another yellow brick rd to discover.

Slippy, we obviously have different strategy and circumstances. I have 3 children that have taken most of my modest free cash. It is surprising that you do not think that having z£400 k plus buried in one risky aim company is not gambling. My pots are spread over crypto and around 100 shares so a lot less risk which I would say is less like a gamble than your 2 way bet! Good luck tho, obviously if it were to go wrong you are going to be ok. Although these BBs would appear to be mainly inhabited by high net worth individuals who often own 1% of the company, the trades show that there are many small time holders. Your more money than sense investing principle and Cnr investing history would be useless to someone in that situation to further their wealth! Tbf slippy, you Havnt patrolled the bb daily like some of the supposed uber rich holders do on these BBs, trying to kill discourse.

Personally I enjoy trading, yes of course it is gambling but it is informed gambling. It is more fun than constantly dribbling hopium on BBs, hero worshipping billionaires and CEOs and never owning their flawed predictions. Of course I have share that have tanked, some that folded some that have just done little. The important thing is to learn from it not just stick your head in the sand for 15 years! Anyhow, I am happy to have been re buying here lower and expect a decent re rate

Slipperry, I have never claimed to be rich and have openly stated that I don’t have a lot of free cash which is the primary reason that I make the most of what I have. I have a different strategy to most on these BBs. However, can you point to anything in particular that I got wrong with Cnr over the years. You come up with this after the fact accusation. I pre predicted every cash raise in the last 5 years spot on, sanctions, inability to fund the build and the sale price when most were singing £1 plus. Still waiting for your £3.93 prediction from 2018!

Your inability to believe that I sold on frisby froth at around 36 p is your problem certainly did tho and sold a chunk in low 30s when Mtl deal anounced. Glad I did too rather than wait years for IOUs. Capital much better used elsewhere.

I have less invested in my pf than you have in Mtl. But for someone with a smaller pot, investing in Cnr will not have furthered their finances at all over 15 years. I suggest that if you had put your £400 k plus in a high interest acc and compounded it you would be better off currently.

It is not the size that counts it’s what you do with it . You may have heard this before.

Surely you keep track of the wider market and think, hey there are shares with 1000% increase, is it good maths to have my huge pot making f all??

I mentioned Mstr during the sale process as an isable Bitcoin proxy, it went from $16 to $480. That wasn’t after the event!mentioned circle about 3 months ago . That was decent honest posting and would be somewhat more rewarding than the warped hopium posted for 10 years on Cnr.

****s, not so long ago was buying aaz sub 50 p with the bad news, timing is crucial in everything. i think now is decent buying here . i sold here about 10 months ago and ggp as it looked like they stalled and bulked up on iren and cipher . 10 months later i am re buying here lower than i sold at.

iren and cipher put on a storm last summer and doing similar now. it pays to be mobile in my view.

circle has moved great over the last 3 months. there’s opportunities aplenty and not worth being insular in investing imv.
