Mbh,yes a lot of conotations for producers. It would be handy if permits arrived before any possible lockdown.It is possible . Re asessing for the short term personally as I have a lot of producers .As your post suggests supply chains will be interupted.somebody mentioned mc going to Nicaragua recently .Anybody know if that was the case. Cannot imagine any visits in the next couple of months. I would imagine timescales now will be pushed back .

What I am finding on sm is as somm says ,many are scared stiff of corona quite rightly and deciding to self isolate.students deciding for themselves to stay away from uni/ colleges.question marks about tests etc . attempts by the gvnt to normalise the situation .murillos mass gatherings have not been in line with who .el salvador has a full quarantine .there are many more declared cases in costa Rica and Hondurus presently leading to some not believing gvnt information.

Note that bitcoin is now closing in on $7000 from lows of 4000 ish a couple of weeks ago ..long range graph on gold suggests another strong push in the medium term imv . Mbhr,I am in no way telling people to sell. Cnr has actually performed pretty well over the last month or two.I follow nica events daily and what I see is the gvnt encouraging public support events ,fire drills etc recently on social media.most of central and south america is in lockdown .Nicaragua appears to be out of step presently.
Although we are not producing we have much work to do before production that could be disrupted including official stuff.lets hope permits come soon.like anywhere it has the potential to be very disruptive.yes you are right about possible problems for producers .I hope as with everywhere else that the risks are minimised .
wondergoals.yes would agree ours and us gvnts have been irresponsible.as regards ht ,it was the only report I could find to post . This most likely was submitted when cnr sp was over the 31 p last week ,but still good news for cnr . Cnr sp really this last couple of weeks has performed well compared with a lot of goldies.

Dotty ,yes everything is cheap and we are spoilt for choice.I am still positive on gold shares and focusing on producers that either pay or close to paying a dividend.
Re crypto,I am waiting till bitcoin is in the $3000's and eth sub 100. I am interested to see if it follows gold up as well as down.its not for everyone and I missed the boat early doors but know people who have made large sums and I didnt take their advice 5-6 years ago.the charts dont lie.The last 2 years,eth has trebled in months from its lows .its all a gamble though .
Its only one part of my pf so will see how it rolls.
I bought barrats and tw in the last crash and did well .they are taking a hiding again presently.

Gold looking strong for a while to me though. Best profits are made buying when others are selling.retrace in some goldies is also buying opportunity. My oil tank needs a fill .whats not to like .

As Barnard says rio are in charge of the checkbook and may be in more of a hurry even than the newmarket guys .to my mind this should be heading straight to 130 k oz production,not in 5 years time when the gold price may well have tanked .we could just be looking at a perfect storm .interesting year ahead .
