Thanks for your email You may have misinterpreted my comments on the rationality of the present state of 'markets'. Any correction, in my view, will be passing affairs. What I think will happen is you can see a correction in certain sectors, and groups of companies with (some) common traits within this sectors (kind of a sub-group in maths parlance). The methods I am developing explicate these 'foibles' of the 'markets'. You need to consider constraints such as the futures markets, etc. And, being a woman (I say this with the greatest envy) you are more patient than guys, and this will win out. Men are too hasty. Learning French is a good way to learn patience! From time to time, (with appropriate caveats) I will post recommendations from time to time. Whatever is posted, though, churn with great energy through your mind, apply intuition, and do what you think best. Good luck.

How are you getting to grips with the stocks, lately? These markets are not grounded in any logic at present, so wariness is well justified. Good luck with your trading!

Some stocks get pounded because they are our of favour, and thus sooner or later recover; others because they are wounded, and recovery a long shot. Which one is this? Each to his own. - Disclosure: I have not position here, so opinion expressed only. I will watch for a few days. Hi again. You know my views on iron ore and the china play (and players!) so the only thing of interest (and relevance) is how much did you pay for the land in Singapore, and what is the process for buying land? I know that its a dodgy business in places like Indonesia etc, but would imagine Singapore to be more 'old school British?' - Incidentally, I passed on buying the apartment in Italy. Nice location, but it was too small. I am not in this to save forgo comfort for the benefit of saving a few quid. I am still keeping an eye on Cyprus and, (when it eventually settles down) even Egypt. One thing is for sure, by days in the UK are numbered.

I had no inkling that I was hiding. But if that's the impression, then perhaps I am. - As for this stock, the movements suggest to me that this is not a normal tree shake, someone has a plan. I will continue to short during highs in the da day with tight stops. May the best man win! - Incidentally, I am personally appalled at the antics of these fraudsters and speculators kicking around stocks with real tangible assets. The bottom line, in a market well regulated and run according to the laws of capitalistic logic, is that these miners should be much higher, reflection the true value of their assets. Debt is not a problem With low interest rates, and a bubble dollar, that can be boiled off with ease. It's shenanigans that are making a play, and nothing more. Good luck to everyone!

I must own up - I closed out both this and the KAZ shorts on Friday, expecting a bounce today. Got out with a very modest gain. There is a new variant of bird flu influence emerging in China, which I think will be contained. It's not that that bothers me, its the contagion that afflicts companies that has my attention! Still, I am holding off taking any position for the time being. - Disclosure, I am still negative oriented towards this stocks, but I have been proved wrong in the past, and not certain to be so again, if not in this present case, then certainly with others. As a general rule, one finds honesty pays. Good luck to all!

It's surely problematic when a company is so reliant on, and over-invested in/committed to a single resource - iron ore? Couple that to a China story that remains a mystery, and we are in gamblers' territory. Historical patters are suspect (at least for me). Conversely, all resource company have one thing that many service companies do not - real resources. These tangible assets over time must hold their own. The problem, as often, lies in the short to medium term, where speculators pollute the space, and make the pollution crisis in China appear tame by comparison!. (PS. RIO is a China play, not an iron ore one)

Are you still going long here? I was busy today and unable to trade, otherwise I would have taken a short when it touched 3080. I am not saying this is a market-wide phenomenon. I am stock/sector picking. I still see RIO at 2200. Good luck.

Wrong? Hmm I don't think I'm wrong, and as you well know, I make up my own mind, and am perfectly relaxed about it. Thus, my conclusion holds, as per communicated to Levis when KAZ was over 550 pence, that some one, or group, is taking down all miners with a Russian connection. Why? I don't know. That's my conclusion. Thus, my position holds. Disclosure: I will short both KAZ and ENRC. Good luck to all!.

While it is not my intention to rile or upset anybody, expressing an opinion, and providing relevant reasons for that opinion, should, in my view, be accepted on its merits, and read. What a given person chooses to make of this is entirely up to him or her. - As for the views expressed earlier, I continue to hold to them, and wish everyone reaching their own conclusion the best and hope that you can profit from this casino of a market we all have to contend with!

Speculation. Pure and simple. I am following in their shadows. I have no intention of being an investor here.

I have not posted here for a long time. What interested me in this company was the performance (or lack thereof) of the management. I see little has changed (unfortunately, for investors). I still do not see any presence of the 'Hibu' brand. It is absent from common sight, and clearly after all this time I see not managerial momentum behind this.

I would let some air out of that balloon, and try a heavier gas. - Unsustainable: you betray your emotions here. The assumption belies the fact that unsustainable is what is almost certainly likely to result in further falls here, and elsewhere. (See the article on monkeys published in the FT today)! - Disclosure, I am not invested here, and not looking to buy at anything above 150, say. That is my version of unsustainable!. Good trading!

My remarks referring to China were in fact oblique - it was a reference to the touted business model of infrastructure investment. The miners have overplayed China, and some 'investors/speculators holding a sizable long position are winding it down. The Russian connected miners have some added catalysts that hammering them more than the others. The brokers and market makers have no idea what they are doing. They only react. And this is why it is proving perplexing attempting to rationalize what is going on. Add to that the inflated position of derivatives, and you have a market out of step with just about everything. You really are down to playing poker.

Perhaps China should be buying into Rio. That's a compelling case, no? The question is, at what price?

Incidentally, as for KAZ, my feeling is that someone out there is determined to knock it right down, as per all the erstwhile 'soviet' miners. Rio will seem to sag in sympathy, but all that's happening is a more 'managed' retreat (in my opinion, humble and otherwise).

You are playing against machines pushing out false trades testing those technical levels some are overly fond of. - Luck brought you so far. As as you well know, luck is a lady, and ladies know how to entangle ladies. So use your wits to overcome her. :-)
