@livedata - If you took one milligram of paracetamol would it treat your headache?
@livedata - Not unless they were made an insider, then they would not be able to trade on the information they were given...including buy out - so not much point!
I can smell burning! Is that those shorters?.....mwahahahah see ya later shorty pants!
Boatman is a he and not a they, it's a bogus website, is not a company or even an organisation and I loved Peter's response to them in his video.....which if you haven't seen already is awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebIrLYQwHgg :-) Showed Boatman for what he is, a puny little shorting wet wipe like Tom Winnifrith. I actually think Boatman is Tom Winnifrith!
Did you write it Pearls?
That report and website is so shoddy they make Tom Winnifrith look professional! Very poor attempt.
Nice spot Hercule!
Damn you getting in quick! :-)
Yeah agreed Timster
I seem to remember the profit being around $1 per test. The majority of the cost of the test will be in manufacturing and distribution. Due to the competition being Chinese I can't see Avacta ever considering attempting to make profit on anything other than the active detector (affimer) - Therefore I suggest that the profit margin will remain the same, whether the test is manufactured for Avacta, or Avacta simply provide the detector. Actually, it's a much less risky business just to be providing the detector, and much more in Avacta's comfort zone!
Thanks Hurst. I agree testing is here for many years, especially in points of entry to the country. We have seen how this virus spreads like wildfire and most viruses evolve to become more contagious not less, so until the entire world is vaccinated testing will be the norm. I would be surprised if LFD mass testing was not still in place in 5 years time. There's never ever been a lower risk time to be entering or holding Avacta stock.

Wow.....specificity blown in Innova by lemon juice and lynx deodorant! Get that junk out of here!
"university of facebook" hahahahah brilliant :-)
Clearly Maxiamus has no clue how avacta's test works either...classic keyboard warrior who's not invested here.
Sorry...that post was directed at Skyfairy4UK
HAhaha which is the opposite of what all the trolls were saying before Avacta proved they could detect it. Morons a plenty around.
Thanks MrAdventurous, saved me saying it :-) Facepalm
Plus....the fact that the number of deaths were higher in the 2x group is likely to point to the fact that those people were much older, which as we know puts them at the higher end of the risk spectrum. This data, without additional factors included is inconclusive and potentially misleading
NDN - 1, What's the source? 2, What's the total number of all infections?
Those numbers are pretty meaningless without knowing the total number of infections.
Maybe many of the population aren't aware that you can still potentially contract CV19 after 2x vax, but the fact is that the chances of COVID causing serious problems was low anyway, and now that low number has been reduced by 90%....in other words the chance of someone who is double vaccinated being hospitalised by CV19 is vanishingly small.
Also, the chances of someone contracting covid and being asymptomatic have also been severely reduced, which will also massively help with transmission.
But yeah, a very very small proportion of the population may die from CV19 even after 2x vax.....but it really is incredibly small.
Chrisbak - That not true, people who are fully vaccinated are far less likely to pass on the virus.
"A growing body of evidence indicates that people fully vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) are less likely to have asymptomatic infection or to transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others."

There are many more reports, but i'm a big believer in DYOR :-)
