comeonvog - I never listen to DBNO - but did do a side bet on HVO - lost £2K so sold out and put the cash into more PMO shares - up £1K already ! Burnt fingers - will go back to holding only PMO - I am confident that by Xmas the SP will be back up around £2 or more

David Davies resignation has just thrown a big rock into the finance world lake. Other resignations could follow today and a revolt by pro BREXIT Tory MPs could also follow.

zoom - the SOU CEO talked IIs into paying £27 million in Nov 2016 for 82p a share in SOU. SOU shares now worth 39p. IIs are just as bad at forecasting SP rises as we are !

If all predictions come true HVO will have discovered the "Holy Grail" of preventive medicine - a long term protection from ALL variants of the flu bug - including pandemics - like the one in 1918 so called " Spanish Flu" - originated in China like all flu bugs - killed about 50 million people world wide in the worst pandemic in history. Young people in particular were just dropping dead without any warning - if HVO can stop all these deaths and suffering they will be the modern day heroes and heroines . I am very happy to buy these shares and support the company whatever the profit I make - my profits go to charities and support for my only daughter who is still recovering from ovarian cancer.

aa111 - we all had the same plan but did not foresee the down side - if you have £10K invested and keep adding to it - eventually you will get a 10% drop and 10% of £10K is only £1K but 10% of £100K is £10K and the temptation is to keep adding to your stake - trying to "catch the falling knife" I have been there and lost some big bucks over the years - I once added up all the dealing costs for a year when constantly day trading and it came to many thousands of pounds - all lost to the brokers.My ploy now is to hold only one company shares at a time and I am holding PMO at the mo - I expect the market mafia to keep pumping and dumping the SP in order to trigger stop losses and make profits from buying low and selling high each day - but if we all refuse to sell our shares the MMs will have to raise the SP to keep the share fluid - I expect a roller coaster ride till 12 July when things should calm down a lot.

ZenMerlin - Hi - the PMO roller coaster was all down to massive debt overhang and Solan problems and doubts about Catcher et al - all now resolved - but UKOG was all about "The Gatwick Gusher - the Weald of Kent will be the UK`s Texas bonanza - a giant sponge full of oil - all we have to do is stick a straw in it and oil will flow in vast quantities !" All bull - mistakes made were - drilling a slanting well at the BB site in very fragile fractured limestone then exploding the liner to obtain oil flow - tunnel collapsed - then drilling an identical step out well - tunnel collapsed again - Napoleon said "Never reinforce failure - try another plan" The only thing the UKOG BOD has done well is to sell billions of new shares at a discount to II and now they have 5.2 Billion shares in the market - does any sane person think they can go to 10p - MCAP of more than PMO which is pumping oil and gas at about 96K boepd and UKOG is pumping 2K !!

I made my profits from UKOG last year on a promise of oil riches - which is now seen as a pipe dream. PMO 96K boepd is real and relatively few shares in the market ! Once the BOD pays down a big chunk of debt this year the SP will race upwards. I am hoping that the 12th July will publish excellent progress on debt reduction (saving 7% annual interest) and get the SP moving back up to 130p +++

I have been trading (privately) for about 50 years so I am cautious about what I invest in (most times) - although I did turn £20K into £80K last year buying UKOG at about 2p and selling soon after for 8p - however I will not be investing in UKOG at the mo - too volatile.

Before investing in a company look at all the fundamentals and research the company first. Do not jump on band wagons - especially penny shares on the AIM list. My UKOG gain was a once in 50 years win !!! Look at the market cap of the company you are assessing - if very low = very volatile and easily manipulated by brokers et al. Look at shares in issue - if 5 billion at 2p the chances of it going to 10p are almost non existent. Look at number of deals done - although we do see ONE deal pushing up a SP by 50% or more it is likely a big dealer manipulating the market. Look at earnings - if negative ask why ! PMO is showing negative earnings at the mo due to financial deals paying off debt and funding acquisitions. Second half of 2018 is forecast to be a life changer for the SP so do not be misled by daily drops in the SP - usually engineered by brokers to keep the market fluid. One day up and the next day down - but they cannot sit on a quality company like PMO for very long before they will have to allow it to rise again - but it will only rise on good news from the BOD (board of directors)

If the jargon used by other investors confuses you you can google up an explanation or read a book like "The Naked Trader" not sexy I am afraid - Naked trading is buying and selling shares you never own in order to get a quick profit !

Vince Cable said "The Stock Market is a sleazy casino run by shady characters whose only aim is to part honest and trusting investors from their life savings" Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware of danger) is a good motto to keep in mind

aa111 - all the indices world wide are down again today - Trump`s World Trade War marches on - even if it is the 4th July Independence Day. Strange that the 23 colonies declared UDI to break free from domination by the British but when the Confederate States tried the same thing Lincoln waged a relentless war to destroy the Confederate States - evn though they were no treat to Federal States - just wanted to be free to run their own states. The big lie out there in that Lincoln fought the war to free the slaves - in fact he said in the first two years of the war "This is NOT a war to free slaves - it is a war to re-unite the USA" He only issued the Emancipation Bill to keep France and the British Empire from joining the war on the Confederate side. The Emancipation Act excluded Northern States who had slaves - they were still to be viewed as "property"

BP has swopped its Alaska oil interests for additional areas in the Clair field west of Shetland and in the PMO Solan area. What does BP know that we do not - could Solan2 be resurrected to produce lots of oil ??? Time will tell but the BP move enhances the prospects for PMO Solan Catcher and Tolmount gas IMO. In addition - big moves afoot to import cheap US frack gas for refining for the chemical industry - much cheaper than EU gas supplies - should enhance Solan FID.

HeresHopin - thank you for a realistic comment on this BB - with 5 billion shares in the market looming it is obvious that UKOG is only good at selling shares - the clever people will sell out now if they are in profit before the SP tanks again. I made excellent profits last year from UKOG but got out at 8P on the way down as I realised what the BOD was doing ref funding their company by just selling shares !

Maverick7 - the hedge was a mandatory requirement by our lenders and II - next year will be higher and a smaller % - the future looks good to me.

Canada has cut its oil supplies to the USA for "maintenance reasons" and with a new Left Wing man in Mexico City the oil output from Mexican fields is to be used to help the poor and needy. Libyan output now cut by about one million barrels and Iran output soon to drop another million bopd - looks good for a rise to $85 or $90 very soon. Saudi does not have the capacity to mitigate all the output losses.

We live in interesting times !
