Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
CL, I understand you comments and yes I am a PM myself, so understand how goalposts can shift.
But as a PM or CEO..... you guide your clients, shareholders.
My criticism of CF is that he is often too enthusiastic with the deadlines and the truth ,and speaks like a 1970’s car salesmen. “We are the best”, “unbelievable” “transformational” “world leading”.....my question is, are we really, and if so please show it with RNS’s.
I just want to hear some actually substance and figures.... I could be wrong but there appears to be a distinct lack of hard facts, all emotive sales jargon!
There are far too many unknowns at the moment and the communication has dried up.
CF, where is “transformational January”, the “bemusing” location.... the dividend(s) you spoke of.? We are “world leaders” as you kept telling us, the truth is we have stagnated for circa 4 months in a period in history where our services should be front and centre of every governments minds.
Do they not believe you, have the II seen all this before from you?
Let’s release some positive news, with facts and numbers please. Now is the time to guide this ship, not hide away because you are behind on your many promises.
Wondegoals, is that not just going to cause a very tedious standoff off then?
CF doesn’t want the share to price to rise in normal times, let alone with invesco selling. Invesco aren’t going to sell until the share price rises.... new investors are going to be put off by invesco. knowing that they have plenty to sell....and also put off by CF’s insistence on keeping a lid on the share price. 2 months of this very flat SP, I wonder when or what will finally trigger some movement. All very boring ATM
Halfway through "Transformation January" - lets see what he delivers, still plenty of time!!!
Big couple of weeks ahead though.... just praying there isn't yet another shifting of the goal posts, as that would be extremely frustrating.
It's as if he wants the share price to drop 3-4% and not show any sign of progress! 3 months now of great news followed by tedium and stagnation.
Or perhaps we could stop issuing RNS’s with little detail in them, that get heavily scrutinised by the markets?
“If you have nothing to say, it’s best to say nothing at all” springs to mind!
BlahBlah, I asked for that one and good spot - I'd like to say it was a play on words, but it wasn't!
Thanks Miko and Moni - much appreciated.
Purposefully supressing the share price until his lock in date, would surely be a risky strategy too, for himself and investors?
I will need to sell my shares in Q1 regardless, as I am moving house. If things explode by then, amazing - if not, fully appreciate that's my own issue!
ha, That sounds like it needs to be written on a post-it note and planted firmly on my wall.
Same as you, I've topped up every month since March and will again today!
Morning all, having been invested in OO since March I have seen this share rise quite nicely and more recently plato!
With a constant flow of positive news (from a newbie perspective) this is extremely hard to understand why this just stagnates.
My question is, what would happen to the share price, if god forbid we had a 1 single piece of negative news...... would the MM stabilise this or could this stock plummet. Good news isn't well received here, so what would one piece of average/bad news bring?
Han**** nonchalantly throws that little bit of information out to the Public!
As expected, COVID isn't disappearing anytime soon and OO are front and centre on this. CF and his team are going to be very busy bees in 2021 and beyond!
Fair to say not just CF, Moniman.
