The market knows nothing about DMS in general terms so no wonder the market responds to a 75m acquisition to make a superior product from the already kings of dms, so must be a no brainer eh?

They may have got a jump on the OEM but they seem to be going backwards by removing radar in favour of cameras, the DMS will be making a big mess for them too, would you pay a premium amount for a beta vehicle? OEM like merc, bmw et al will win back the customers soon enough.

Did they say where they are getting 750m kr from to pay for it? They must be expecting to get their money back. It’s a good move as these convenience things will be popular although it will be a crowded market I think

I feel that this has happened out of necessity as I believe Cerence are working with us and smart eye need to have a similar offering. I may be totally off the mark though.

The sad thing is the market will love it.

Blue cruise isn’t engaged til September i think and don’t expect an announcement until after that personally. So much news to come and we wait as usual, the ii wait to see how low it will drop before buying resumes.

Late reported buy. Lots of shares changing hands at this level, I was hoping they would have to raise the price a bit.

It would be even worse if a driver fell asleep and injured/killed loads of people, its rare, but it happens. Anyway, the law is DMS in all vehicles so it has to done at some point and I think the insurance savings that we are seeing may level out the installation costs.

He’s not keen to include merc in that line up, i wonder why cos It can only be one provider in all fairness. He said watch for smarteye claiming the SOP later, but can’t see it myself.

That’s fine for traffic jam assist and a gateway for level 2+ DMS assisted driving such as supercruise on the motorways, just because the government allows it doesn’t mean the OEM are gonna do it and take responsibility when the TESLA style crashes occur when the wrong conditions happen.
I wonder if our motorways are mapped? Could be done in no time over here as there’s only just over 2000 miles to do compared to over 100,000 miles in the US for example.

We just need all the RNSs with the cars we are in now to prove to the market and we’re off. The fact ford are not releasing the tech to later in the year may hold that back even thought the cars/truck have been in the dealers for months our tech hasn’t been active? Sucks, we knew about supercruise for 4 years before it was official.

It was suspected more people would buy cars instead of using public transport, could be the case
