Why no explanation to the 34% decrease in the interview except from saying it’s due to volatility? Which OEM is the problem? Has any program reached end of production? Is GM ramping down SEE and ramping up SEYE?

But in this case the OEM doesn’t dual source, Smart Eye was already their supplier for DMS.

Why doesn’t this OEM choose Magna Mirror if it’s a superior solution for DMS/OMS? Cost?

Validate mirror position for OMS but not for DMS. It’s not a single camera system. Isn’t this a case were Magna Mirror was supposed to win orders?

Changing a mirror, that wouldn't take long at all.

Ok, SOP is about 12 months ahead. There are CAN signals from the mirror. Then a new cable harness is needed. Software integration in the vehicle is needed. Test and verification to comply with the EU regulation is needed. Do you think a car OEM can manage to implement this change, without even have finished sourcing the components today?

Well, what do you think? Will the DMS volumes skyrocket due to EU GSR? Or due to requirements for L2 and L2+ vehicles?

I have done allt of research and the only legal requirement for DMS I know is EU GSR and is not related to L2 and L2+. Do you have a link to the requirement for L2 and L2+?

Are there any legal requriements supporting the statement from Valeo that DMS is becoming mandatory for L2 and L2+ autonomous vehicles?

Maybe you are correct that I waste my time... I hope there are some clever SEE investors with deep knowledge about DMS here. Who have done their own research, not just listening to Paul McGlone, reading what Colin Barnden writes and waiting for Euro NCAP test results.

Paul McGlone says that Magna Mirror is in high volume production and that it’s a success. But where is the marketing from VW that they have both DMS and occupant monitoring in their vehicles?

Or is Colin Barnden author of the rumours that Magna Mirror solution have some problems, the person referred to by Paul McGlone as most often incorrect?
