2. Technical Framework
The proposed DMS solution will be integrated alongside semiconductor platforms provided by Qualcomm, ensuring compatibility with Toyota’s scalable vehicle electronics architecture. The system must meet stringent performance, reliability, and safety standards across all vehicle segments.
3. Safety and Compliance Objectives
A core objective of this partnership is to ensure that equipped vehicles achieve 5-star safety ratings under the 2026 protocols established by Euro NCAP. The DMS solution will be a key enabler in meeting driver monitoring and safety compliance requirements in global markets.
4. Production and Rollout Plan
Toyota proposes a start of mass production (SOP) in 2028, with phased deployment across major markets including North America, Europe, and Japan. The agreement will cover multiple vehicle programs and platforms over a multi-year lifecycle.
5. Commercial Terms
The total estimated value of the agreement is expected to reach multiple billions of USD over the duration of the contract, subject to final vehicle volumes, program expansion, and agreed pricing structures.
