I am thinking about yesterdays RNS, imo it was relating to Veoneer and the original $50m+ Ford contract. Just happens to be 10% of the value, feels about right for a license and royalty model.

Today's announcement from Veoneer shows a shift towards Germany and US. I do wonder if this is a ramp up for a much larger Ford contract

TLS, yes they are the finalists, however our CEO is celebrating Thales , and our COO Ryan had a long career at Thales.

Thanks Tom, yes positive comments and nice to see the words "funded to profitability" , I just wonder if all future auto contracts will be under this model , if so it's very good for cash

I'm guessing the pre production is Ford and the Tier One is Veoneer, Ford contract was our largest win to date at $50m+, the educated view was this was for the F-150 truck

I'm not sure how Paul and team managed to pull this off, I doft my cap to them.

This is a great piece of business A$8m cash paid in this financial year , which means its accounted as revenue in this year also.

At times like this we need strong leadership and we have it in Paul.

SINGAPORE/SYDNEY, March 27 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines Ltd said it had secured up to S$19 billion ($13 billion) of funding to help see it through the coronavirus crisis and expand afterward, in a sign of confidence travel demand will eventually return.

As many carriers around the world look for cash to weather the crisis, Singapore Airlines’ majority shareholder, state-fund Temasek Holdings, said it would underwrite the sale of shares and convertible bonds for up to S$15 billion. Singapore’s biggest bank DBS Group Holdings Ltd provided a S$4 billion loan.

“This transaction will not only tide SIA (Singapore Airlines) over a short term financial liquidity challenge, but will position it for growth beyond the pandemic,” Temasek International Chief Executive Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara said.

Note out from Cenkos, this is their view on cash

"Cash runway for around two years on our revised expectations Even on our highly rebased numbers, we believe Seeing Machines has enough cash runway for around two years of trading.

With no debt and significant upside left in these expectations, we believe Seeing Machines is financed to see its way through the current market turmoil.
Our revised expectations imply that there is a total estimated cash shortfall cA$5m in FY22 to
see the company though to profitability. With Annualised Recurring Revenue of over A$16m
@82% margin in FY21 rising to A$26m in FY22E, we believe Seeing Machines would be able to
finance the shortfall with debt."

Page 9 you will see a cash burn of A$7.9m for the 6 months to 31st Dec 19, it should be noted we had a one off positive A$9m inflow from a maturing financial asset so true burn was more like A$16.9m

Cash balance was reported as A$47.3m

So at current burn rate that's enough cash for 18 months or so, we know the forecast for H2 is better so burn was expected to reduce, we also know any license deal is upside as not in any forecast

I hope the decent LTH on here read it, it's easy to be negative and talk everything down depends on your mindset and view on life. I sleep very well I didn't make up "one license deal and we are funded forever" that came from the CEO.

"The 2019 Boeing Pilot & Technician Outlook projects that 804,000 new civil aviation pilots, 769,000 new maintenance technicians, and 914,000 new cabin crew will be needed to fly and maintain the worldwide commercial, business, and civil helicopter fleet over the next 20 years due to expanding passenger demand, especially in Asia-Pacific. This equates to approximately 40,000 new pilots and technicians needing to join the airline workforce every year."

So even if a few airlines lay off some pilots, my guess its the sales people, admin staff, air stewards(ess) that go first, the demand will be there for the ffs companies to train future pilots.

Also a decent % of sims are used for military and we know SM is working with Aussie airforce

We are hoping to sign a license deal(s) with the likes of L3 and CAE we arent an agency supplying temps to an airline

It's been a hard week for investors in general, I feel for my fellow investors in this great company, I haven't read here last few days but I can only imagine...

My personal opinion is companies such as SM will now just act as normal, this Virus will be around for a while yet.

I think companies will start issuing news now if they have had the chance to finalise.

Its clear this isnt going to be over in a few weeks so it's the 'normal' for now.

Markets couldn't keep falling 10% a day as literally the world would end in a week.

If you have good news now is the time to put it out, if investors have taken cash out of the market they need somewhere to put it.

WHL, that's it makes perfect sense. That's why at June 19 the cash line shows A$54m but 'cash and equivalents' is reported as A$64m.

Mr Bunce uses A$54m as starting point for his cashflow and forgets to show the upside from the term deposit turning to cash.

This is great news, so when Bunce assumes cash runs out in June 21 he should have A$9m left and then in FY22 the cashflow turns positive so we are funded.

So subject too hitting current forecasts we are funded

Red, in the 6 months reported today they have a A$9m cash inflow for "Proceeds from held to maturity financial assets" , this can be seen on page 11 of the interim report on the SM website.

Usually that would be some kind of bond or longterm investment

Either way the A$47.3m reported today and the existing forecast for coming years = funded to profit

More than ever in the current environment cash is king.

My favourite bit of today's RNS is

"Cash at 31 December 2019 of A$47.3m (31 December 2018 A$26.9m)"

I will now use the assumptions in the latest Cenkos report

1) Cash Dec 31st = A$47.3m (today's RNS)

2) burn for 6 months to June 30th = A$17m (50% of the Cenkos assumption for FY20 so prudent) = cash at 30th June 2020 of A$30m

3) burn for FY 21 = A$19m, so cash at 30th June 21 of A$11m

4) cash inflow for FY22 = A$9m, so cash at 30th June 22 of A$20m.

Hence we are funded to profit on current forecasts , please note current forecasts assume zero for Aviation or other license deals

Shares vest on 1st July 2020, subject too the average price over previous 30 trading days being above 6.1p.

So from about 20th May the average starts

My view is he will get his shares, people on here will probably still moan
