I am imagining I am a member of the Panel and I say to my colleagues 'Ombrina Mare is Italian for Sea Lion. These people have another Sea Lion in the South Atlantic from which they have not made a penny profit over ten years, and indeed have just written off $230 million in impairment charges. Same name, same FPSO plan, same team.

If they are incapable of making profit from Sea Lions, why make an award which includes lost profit?'

I am pretty sure about the PJ story as told to me since it was well known at the time that you could call in and get a conversation. I also understand that SP of DES thought that loose lips sink ships, or at least the DES share price, and he was teed off about it.

Sorry, todays message is clear. The placing is to fund a current strategy "Alpha income and growth" plus general working capital ( salaries) when GS said a month ago that the company had enough working capital for its current strategies. He seems unable to do a proper cash flow projection.

As for the broker puffing the placing up, he has to do that to sell the shares at a profit.

Let me get this right. Falkland Islands are British as are all its citizens, all part of UK, and a UK military outpost. The islands are to be included in any UK/ EU trade deal, along with Gibraltar. So how on god's earth can anyone export anything from UK to UK and expect ECA support for that? Does it work for the Isle of Man and Jersey as well?

The whole family and its acolytes suffered from delusions of grandeur. Maybe they submitted the best value tender for the specified work. Most oilcos do use a tendering process for best value.
