I'm not claiming that anything I'm saying is new or original (in fact Ronin1 has expressed many of my own doubts already on here as have others). I'm only tossing in my own opinions. That, namely, this current pullback looks a bit fishy to me and although I should be seeing the current SP as a buy, I'm holding back - could be wrong but I sense another nasty dose of dilution coming along soon. If I'm mistaken I'll miss this opportunity but will try to judge the next entry point. I know my presence here riles you up more than anyone - you see yourself as the bad boy of the board, a realist shooting from the hip, when in fact you're about as loyal and unthinking a SOLG fan as anyone else and can't bear any constructive criticism of the current position. The surprising thing about you is how reactionary and naive you really are beneath the "hee hee hee" stuff.. It's odd that as one of the resident trolls on this board you are outraged that I should offer some opinions that you find disruptive. I think you've become too lazy and comfortable in your role. Yes, I know all about the need for exploration companies to raise funding. We ALL need money going forward. You can raise it in productive ways, or raise it in counterproductive ways. There are always options. You can put your sister on the game - sure, you might raise some money, but what does it do for your reputation?? How do you recover? The 41p dilution when the SP was 46p hurt us all - it was a decent arrangement, but something about the news leaking spooked the markets and sent us into a tailspin to 32p. At this level we then got hit with a 25p placing - announced after hours with all the shame and shoddiness of the worst of the AIM shares.. You really should listen to the interview the CEO gave right after this, it's breathtaking. The 180million new shares also exposed us to shorting and manipulation in the hands of some big boys we could well have probably best avoided getting tangled with. Undeniable fact is - at the point of writing - it hasn't worked out well so far has it? If you are going to dilute, make that money worth it - if you don't you are just picking the pockets of shareholders for the sake of it' It's your money satanclaus.... if you are going to justify and make excuses for the person taking it off you - every time they do it - then you really are in no position to call me a "lightweight". A company exists to create shareholder value, nothing else matters.

"we are funded to end of 2109" I expect to be dead by 2109... but who knows lol. Yes we are funded to end of 2019 but Nick isn't going to wait till the last penny is he? Sitting on a big pile of cash means you don't have to listen to your shareholders or your peers, you can paddle your own canoe, you can pay wages and wage rises and bonuses and pension contributions, cushioned from any lack of results. Usually the market puts a value on that cash you have in the bank. The last two placings showed otherwise here. Dilution is like crack cocaine to some CEOs. You can swear against it all your life - you know its bad - but that first hit.... oh.... it's excusable and done right but then the second, where it starts to get cheap and desperate.... a measured 41p and then a rushed and nasty 25p announced after hours... and why wait too long till the next one, another quick fix? There's collateral damage to all of this, as has been clearly shown since June last year. You need something to break that cycle. Dilution is the hole below the waterline. Good news is the pump that keeps you afloat. Real progress is the only engine that will get you to your destination. It's all a bit of a race. I would like to see a PEA asap - its the only likely gamechanger in the next 18 months.

Qualibashi told us it was "lockdown at Solgold towers"... why has the market forgotten about this mass interest, this potential bidding war?? What did we hit at that rumour? 29p? And it came along just as the 25p placees could sell their shares... Funny that. I think we've had enough hyperbole. A rise from 1.5p to 46p is fantastic but when the hysteria has died down (which it clearly has) and 46p was clearly an AIM spike (although it fooled me by lasting so long) it isn't helpful to be screeching from the rooftops "IGNORE US AT YOUR PERIL!!!" just before you deliver a set of lukewarm results. I think the most balanced thing you can say is for a better picture we really need to wait for the PEA. For good or ill it should give us a pretty clear picture of value, regardless of our personal opinions. If its good, I think the trolls will finally slip away for good. Not even a GrandsonOfKal left...

Hey Ronin, yes it is a conundrum - it's a big resource no doubt...but is it tempting enough yet (or in the next couple of years) for a buyer to commit? I view it as a traders share at the mo, so I'm happy for it to bounce around, but things seem to be slipping once again and I don't know what can inject some strong oomph back into it. You can't reheat a souffle so 46p is out of the question (well 37p taking the 20% more shares since those days into account). A buyer will have a finite amount of cash to pay. Say £1.7billion for our share of ENSA - thats about £1 a share, fantastic. But every newly printed share eats away at that - 200million new shares every few months and that £1.7billion becomes 70p a share, 50p a share, 40p a share, and so on. Time is never on your side. The thing is, we seem to know less about what we have here since the MRE than before it - it all seems nebulous. I'm not sure what's coming down the line that will change that - every new result is subject to the laws of diminishing returns. Maybe just the summer doldrums are upon us?

I know this isn't a private message board, but my post was directed at Ronin1. If all the rest of you can do is attack anyone with a different view, shriek hysterically about "bashers", and blame the current SP woes on the posts on these boards, then you are all as bad as jimiley. God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason - try listening more - especially to other opinions. I appreciate this board has a chronic and highly irritating troll/deramper problem, but it wouldn't be much improved if it were to revert to the old echo chamber of the usual dozen or so ultra-loyalists on here it used to be. if I'm booking somewhere I read the bad reviews on Tripadvisor as well as the good ones - then when I get there I like to make my own mind up. The troll nonsense on here is maddening, but for the potential investor looking in a lot of meaningless positive cliches like "Nick has played a blinder", "Nick is lining all his ducks up in a row","exciting news to come", blah blah blah is not much more helpful. We are where we are and a bit of honest debate won't hurt.

Hi mate. Funny you should say that... when I first joined this board (18 months ago?) about 90% of the regulars thought that the dramatic rise was due solely to BNC and his charts. Every fourth post on here was a "thank you" to him for making the share price go up with his Elliot wave theory. Seriously. I said I wouldn't be back until the next dilution - and that I was currently trading. I'm out at the moment and the present price should be a screaming buy, but we definitely seem to have crashed out of the 25p-27p range. I wonder if the 25p placees have now all flipped at a small profit? More likely, I get the feeling that the smart money is quietly getting out in anticipation of Nick "Dilution" Mather pressing the "PRINT SHARES" button again - this time for around 18p? I don't think the coffers are near bare, and I know there has been some good efficiencies made recently - but this guy clearly likes to sit upon a pile of money (a sort of security blanket to which - strangely - the market ascribes no value). A vast pile of cash means that worse case scenario SOLG will make a good lifestyle company/share in the traditional AIM sense, with wages, bonuses and no doubt generous pensions being paid month afetr month, year after year, with "jam tomorrow" for the loyal shareholders. I may be wrong to keep my powder dry, but i don't see a return to 25p+ anytime soon - there just isn't any good news in the pipeline. I know peeps on here have been looking forward to the MRE being beefed up, but that has actually happened and there wasn't much beef. Aggy is a go-slow, when it was supposed to have been tackled big time last Autumn, and first results are not gamechanging. AG has proved infuriatingly right, be he just an anonymous blogger. I think this talk of majors ready to pounce is nonsense now - the moment with BHP has passed, they can stand back and watch us "paddle our own canoe" till we either prove up something irresistible or run out of money. If they leave us dangling (and why wouldn't they?) then as time goes on we LOOK LIKE we are in a slow finance death spiral - place, spend, promise, repeat. Of course we are NOT, but it does kind of look like it, and it wouldn't take much for the vultures at s h a r e p r o p h e t s to start badmouthing us - and at best the BoD have created a down escalator that ordinary shareholders have to try to run up against the forces of dilution. It's a bugger. If you are patient, you get diluted. If you are loyal, you get diluted. If you try to trade, you can get caught by dilution whilst in or miss out on the big takeover announcement whilst out... yet to sit on your hands watching dilution eat your investment whilst the future recedes further and further is not wise investing either. Somehow i feel its "never glad bright confident morning again" with this one.

Satan don't mess yourself - I have indeed exhausted all I want to say, as hanging around a bulletin board all day is a bad habit I managed to break. It's sometimes fun to look in and play SOLG Bingo - "Nick won't let this go cheap", "Nick is lining all his ducks up in a row", "I'm holding on for �2.40 (though I'm commenting on every 0.1p share movement through the day)", "exciting times ahead", "this bodes well for us shareholders", "the stockmarket transfers money from the impatient to the patient", "buy when others are fearful", "in Nick we trust", "I think Nick has played a blinder here", "patience will be rewarded", "much more news in the pipeline", "bidding war coming soon", "the majors can't ignore us any longer", "biggest discovery since curly fries" etc etc etc. I'll pop back to vent my spleen at the next dilution. I don't think Nick will want to be sitting on anything less than �50million cash before it triggers the need to give these away at 20p or less... we are in the danger zone now, June, July or August at the latest. I will be very angry and red faced at that time - what the ********* generation now call a "gammon". I will be very "gammon" indeed. Oh and earthling, have a look at your own posts. You're actually just a mirror image of jimiley, with groundless optimism compared to his groundless pessimism. Reality is somewhere in between, but you won't find much of it on this board except from Ronin1 and DG1. Things will play out for good or bad here - there are decent reasons for staying invested, but much to be cautious about as things are certainly not playing out the way one would have hoped they would by now. Constantly repeating the same positive cliches doesn't actually help any more than jimiley driving himself mentally ill with his constant woe. If you are not prepared to take on contrary views then a discussion board is not the place for you - especially if you can't tell the difference between a genuine investor with concerns and an out and out troll. Satanclaus one of the truly remarkable things on this chat board has been your slow transformation from s********* troll (hee hee hee) to sensible and witty voice of reason. I assume your conversion came about as you actually finally bought solg shares, but your posts are always worth reading these days. Of course if there is fantastic news we will all be happy - by putting our hard earned dosh into this share we are already singing from the same hymnsheet (shorters excepted) but just because you are now on the inside with your cash at risk you shouldnt stop asking the questions you asked on the outside. Blind faith is no more a good investment strategy than snidely attacking other posters who buck the head-in-the-sand consensus. No one has your interests at heart. Thats YOUR job.

For what it's worth mate I think if they had held the MRE back just to include the later results the impact would have been much bigger. But as Angry Geologist pointed out, it seemed as if the MRE had been calculated just enough in all directions just to achieve a headline figure that Dilution Mather wanted. That disappointment was hard to overcome. The follow up good news was simply absorbed. Bad timing? I don't know. But the current management - from June last year onwards - seem to have a knack of turning every piece of good news into an SP setback. It's like the Midas Touch in reverse - but understandable when you have the feeling that every time the SP is going well the CEO will do something (dilution most probably) to f**k it up for the loyal shareholders. Vast resource? Wheres the actual proof for that in an viable sense - beyond the jam tomorrow projections and the constant, huge threat of more dilution so that this little man can sit more comfortably - grumpy and stubborn - on a huge pile of cash?? The future retreats before us constantly with this one. We have a lot of "exciting times ahead" behind us already lol.

The market decides on the quality of the results - it all turns on the viability. 1 billion tonnes is great if it is economically viable to extract - if it isn't it might as well be on the moon. The MRE just didn't dispel all doubts. And a potential buyer doesn't want the doubts. ****ging off other posters doesn't change that.

DG1 thanks mate - along with Ronin1 you are a voice of reason on here and I was tempted to reply to your kind comments a few months ago. Some ill-judged trades in the 40s took some recovering from but I traded well in the late 30s, bolted at that last inexcusable 25p dilution - that was a wake up call and a complete gamechanger - and traded since. i regard this as a very high risk share now, but worth a punt. By the way it is very liberating to get out 100% of a share every now and then -let go and get some perspective. otherwise it's like Vietnam - you keep committing and committing, raising the stakes instead of looking elsewhere. Took a bit to claw it back, but after 19 months or so involvement here I'm about �14k up - and yet I've put about �370k worth of trades through on Solg. Not much to show when I could have made that far more less stressfully on Lloydes or Barclays in a far shorter time. In the beginning, my fear was that I would be out when a takeover bid came in. Now I'm much more fearful of being in when the next dilution is announced. My 77p takeout target for ENSA is now 61p due to 20% dilution. Still worth a punt but you got to put yourself in the potential buyers shoes - what exactly is here? The MRE was so inconclusive we'd have been better off without it. Aggy drilling news is mysteriously absent (I hope it's good but where is it?). We should still be funded for a year or so, but our CEO now has a track record for brutal, counterproductive dilution. Yet there is money to be made here - just as long as you are cynical and opportunistic... which is what an investor should be.
