Virus or genuinely sinking ship6 Mar 2020 19:20
Hovered over the BUY button a few times today... SOLG for under 14.60p, it seems crazy, it should be irresistible, but beyond the miasma of this silly pandemic overreaction there it just feels like the life is draining from this share. It just all seems too late now, missed chances, missed opportunities, everything over diluted and spread too thin, too much endless drilling and spending, big talk and no action and way too much now depending on BHP to save it in a financial climate that has just turned very sour. The resource value is there, the share value is not. I honestly cannot see any reason it won't continue to decline, parked like SXX indefinitely. 11p could be optimistic. All that copper and gold - if this company cannot get its finger out and carve a path to either production or sale or takeover - might as well be on the Moon. Meantime money is burning, and with a declining share price raising more will be an even harder dilution hit than might have been.
I daresay the long term loyalists are still telling themselves "Nick is lining his ducks up in a row" but this looks far more like a lame duck. One for the very brave.
I'm going to take my mind off corona virus this weekend by curling up with a good book. "The Stand" by Stephen King should do it.
