Good Morning Amigoers1 Nov 2020 08:37
Hey all
Woke up at silly o'clock this morning and with dark mornings got a little bored so thought I'd have a look at Trust Pilot
To be honest I wish I hadn't as it's made my blood boil
If you look at all the 1 star posts over the last few months it all. "Amigo shouldn't of given us a loan as we couldn't afford it ", "Amigo loans aren't responding to my claim and ignoring me" "Amigo loans accused me of fraud" (I liked this one) "I'm working 3 jobs and struggling paying my and loan and sending money back to my family) WTF. Etc etc It is relentless with people being the victim because they aren't getting the money and they are obviously due it because Martin Fing Lewis said so
I then took a look at the 1 star posts earlier this year and they are "stay away, they promise money in your bank in 24/48 hours and this didn't happen" " We were refused a loan after giving them our wage slips" and my favorite was "My guarantor sent them his bank statements and they have said no because he spends to much money at bargain booze) Basically very few claiming affordability issues if any
Have Amigo made a mistakes ? Yep, haven't all companies ? Are some people valid claimants ? most likely as some people aren't actually intelligent enough to figure out things for themselves like "can I afford to pay a loan back" or find themselves in desperate situations where sensible decisions aren't on the cards. I do think lenders need to have a level of responsibility.
The point I'm finally getting to is surly to god any halfwit investigating this will see what is really going and look to get things sorted. Even with all the recent issues there is still a 5 star of 83%
Reading these did make my angry but also gives me confidence the FCA will see it for what it is and will work with Amigo get this put to bed now. As I've said before, if Amigo loans are good enough for key workers they are good enough for everyone else and there will be so many people that will need a little help right now. I'm sure Amigo will also make sure their lending criteria reflects current situation to protect themselves and lenders.
Not sure if we will hear anything before half year results but it would be nice to get Vreg positive news and confirmation of lending prior to half year as an ok half year RNS with a little about the next 6 months regards focus (Which I think will be ok) would really re-establish us as an attractive option to the II's and settle sp to a more stable , sensible price.
GLA all this week. I hope you all earn a few quid "WHAT" I'll be seeing you.
Only a few will get that :)
