I'm no expert but I would assume you'd need FCA approvals and employ new expertise for new lending streams so I wouldn't expect anything quickly. The hard part for mortgages I'd expect would that they would need to borrow the money to relend as they do now but far larger ammounts, unless they become a type of broker for subprime. And we all know the FCA would like the words sub prime mortgage after the last f **** the banks made of them. But I honestly think we've learnt a lesson and if mum/dad were sat in a property with no mortgage and you could secure against both it substantially reduces risks
The current market should be plenty to get us going again and this all to become a distant memory. But diversifying, in my opinion should be something GJ should and has the experience to do

Agreed, moving forward we will see less upheld claims alongside less complaints due to tighter lending policy they put in months ago and clear FCA rules.
Soundsrisky- I'd like to think GJ will eventually bring in several new products including mortgages. Let the bank of mum and dad keep their cash, just ask them guarantee instead :) If parents are sat on equity and you could secure against two properties you could really compete with high street % with less risk than a standard bank

That's nearly £600k. So it's actually costing Amigo £100k extra to not pay out to obvious fraudsters which I'd prefer

Also, it could be the case we need a vaccine every year and if you have developed one successfully it makes sense you'll be able to do more. The treatment will have less need the more the vaccine works

Totally agree, If GJ can get two RNS out with lending, claims sorted prior to half year to get us back to early teens and a half year showing debt under control and still coming down and some positive spin re the next 6 months we could see 6 months highs and II's sniffing around
