Hickory-1 flow test19 Oct 2023 15:00
Debate not required because the science is settled.
Listen up, 88E forum, time for some hard truths. But first let me be unequivocal: I 100% hope the flow test of Hickory-1 will be a massive success, a barn stormer, a blow the doors off flow test.
It is settled science that, all else being equal, the further updip you move within a hydrocarbon reservoir, the better the reservoir characteristics (porosity, permeability, phasing), the better the recoverability and thus the better the commerciality. This is not scot126 talking here, this is >150 years of O&G exploration and production data. I've asked you all to Google "Dmax O&G" before. It is more important you do this now than at any other time in your involvement with either 88E & PANR.
Here are some more facts. Not scot126 guesses or hopes, these are facts. The shared reservoirs, due to geological depositions millions of years ago (about which we can do nothing today) means that the further north and northwest you are in these shared reservoirs, the further updip you are, the better the reservoir characteristics, the better the productivity, the better the commerciality.
The corollary is also true. Not a guess, not a wish or a desire from scot126. This is globally accepted science. The further south and southeast we move within the shared reservoirs, the deeper the depositional forces, the poorer in quality the characteristics of the reservoirs, the lower the productivity, the lower the likelihood of commerciality.
Having read, digested and ACCEPTED the above science, it is also a statement of fact 88E's portion of the shared reservoirs are more southern and southeastern than PANR's portions PANR's portion of the shared reservoirs is located in the northern and northwestern part of the acreage. This is a fact. Not scot126 playing with words or being a troll. This is accepted fact.
Don't believe me? Then listen to OIlman Dim, someone whom, without question, is at the forefront of the "Hate PANR" chorus.
"Few understand the geological differences between the two companies’ land tracts and, other than PANR enthusiasts, fewer are going to explain it...." (15/10/23)
Well, I understand the geological differences and I've just explained it to this forum as plainly and as bluntly as I possibly can. Note Jim's duplicity. He also knows owning the updip portion of a shared reservoir is the stronger card to possess. He writes obliquely as per usual, dropping a knowing hint that folk like him know better but have no interest in spelling it out. Why? Because Oilcan Dim wants to spruik the 88E trade once again so he can sell his 88E stock to the unsophisticated rubes and mooks who believe the self-styled 88E Army and all the other Twitter momentum traders.
People like OMJ are metaphorically laughing at the naivety and lack of knowledge of many of the folk who post on this forum and others like it. They rely on that naivety to deliver their trading profits.
Please DYOR.
