Bang on 1863... With today's rise it will be 3 holidays and 2 range rovers for the recession / cost of living affected impoverished avg working man/woman/in between lol
Exactly DFOO2...The merchants of doom would have you believe everyone apart from the ceo of BP, Shell and Richi Sunaks wife are living in poverty and are only surviving due to handouts from the local food bank...compared to anytime in history there's probably never been so many folk in the UK that despite the "cost of living crisis" were bombarded wae 24/7...Still manage to pay the mortgage, have a fairly new car on the drive, 63" tv in every room and 2 foreign holidays per year.
Lol stormer... Hope they wurnae on way to get their covid jags, state of our roads and pathways I wouldnae be surprised.
Sun/Mail/BBC News Headlines... Covid kills 10
Love the positive outlook lol
New virus, 5 people... Seen the same story, scaremongering sensationalism by our wonderful medi
Recession reported as being on the horizon. That's been the same story for months now yet did not stop recent share price climbs.
Lots of people not able to afford holidays, that is quite true... But there are an awful lot of folk that can, and will... Just check the beaches this summer if your dubious.
Just like smoking, drinking and eating. I don't know anyone who is choosing to not have a holiday this summer due to cost of living, I do know a few who have chosen not to buy a new car, house, tv etc.
Looking forward to next ezj summer sales update and share price heading up.
Since q1 update sp is around 5% down from the level it reached back then on what was positive news...some 3 months further on hopefully more positive news helps support current level and is the launchpad to further climb in so.
You'd think with the recent encouraging news that with some more positivity coming from the next update then the price could well climb further and re-test recent highs?... What's really interesting is the growth in the holiday business, if that kerps up then the reports of would be suitors could well drive things much higher as the business must be on others "radar".
Yup, going forward it will be interesting to see whose reputation remains intact lol.
Less interesting than the last rating from Deutsche in feb with a buy signal and target of £5.80...they've all got an agenda?
Bang on proctor, your avg mug thinks that all of these huge profits/revenues from the early days of the ukraine invasion are in the back pockets of the various ceo's... Half the English premier league probably get paid as much lol.
Nothing on main uk news, but on BBC Scotland news there was quite a piece reported live from Aberdeen outside Harbours HQ regarding the 350 job losses and the angst that the region is feeling with the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce leader saying it is the tip of the iceberg and calling for UK gov intervention. There was a UK gov spokesman from the energy dept asked for his comments ( can't remember his name) he said something along the lines of "the levy is always open for review by the government" . Hopefully it's the start of something that helps force a change...and ultimately keeps 350 folk in well paid jobs.
Watching this just now, coming from Aberdeen. Same as question time... Interesting the level of support for O&G from both audience and some panelists... Numbers mentioned were uk spent 117 billion on importing oil & gas in 2022 and 25,000 jobs at risk in the North East. Missed the start so no more info but nice to see support.
Be like Xmas eve tonight, going to bed and hoping for something nice tomorrow in the way of shareholder value. Way I see it is simple : us (Harbour) V noise ( opposition party, Joe Public brainwashed by BP and She'll profits on news and the stop fossil fuel brigade), with gov. Uk in the middle. They can't please everyone, so rationale tells me there will be something for all tomorrow in an attempt to keep the lights on whilst stopping anarchy. Be surprised if that does not equal a revised sliding scale for tax on profits, tempered by O&G industry agreeing to step up the transition to renewables / carbon capture. It's inconceivable to think it will carry on as is following the industries warning of future investment, job losses etc etc.
Hope the guys in charge at all the UK O&G companies are watching tonights news and drafting their letters to gov.Uk looking for some "balance" across all uk business. The profits being made by those supplying agency workers to the NHS is staggering. One locum alone cost the tax payer an incredible 5k for one shift.
Add to that the story on BBC scotland about the 2 folk fae Aberdeen attempting to do the North to South Pole in an electric vehicle to show the internal combustion fossil fuelled engine has an alternative. Aye, its covered in solar and seemingly will be pulling a trailer mounted wind turbine mind. No quite what 99.9999 % o the population will be using for the daily commute or shopping.
Well said cheap..."experts" everywhere.
Cheers davey...mibbees a nice big takeover lift in sp and you'll can buy a cafe racer if that's your thing.
Ex dividend date is the 16th?
I'm guessing come next year it will be oil.
Metric. Yup, I'd agree with that figure.
That should be $ not £... My reading not very good either
