Aquisitions that should be lol
That's quite a leap from current, but consistent with their previous call. Been a lot of talk about accusations "on the cheap". Seen smds getting American interest following the initial takeover approach by Mondi. Any luck the Americans start sniffing about BP also and price reacts accordingly.
Cheers aff. Nice one
Affmead, is that interest also paid with cash sitting in an isa account or only the usual share dealing account?
That's how I see it also Spring, this is not just about the Ping deal. If everything goes to plan with that, then in a few years time (which is not the end of the world I hope) without doubt the sp shall be far higher than current level.
Ditto, hit my target also. Can see higher but a bird in the bush etc etc. Any luck it drifts back to 36 (or lower be nice lol) and will have a decision to make.
Best way to make £ with mng is to either reinvest dividend sunshine, or get in early and out again on rise to ex dividend dates. Could do with another Macquarie rumour again. Good luck
Mibbees you'll can buy that flat overlooking the 18th lol
Good luck Ando... 8 years time that might be enough to buy her a place at Eton or Cambridge lol
Weighed up what I consider to be an easily achievable upside, against waiting on news downside and picked up a few more. Worse case scenario I look at a paper loss until fdp/new licence talk starts, best case 50-100% up on same rationale? Think Steve is very believable and sometimes gut feel is as good a reason as any.
Think if something was up then we'd be well past 36 by now tbh. Perhaps that 39p recent high level still got buyer/holders optimystic
Aye, me also Andoman
Ditto. Will be getting back in on any reasonable drop.
Would have loved for the sp to open at a much higher level following the presentation Andoman but it is what it is. The market will do what the market does but based on what was said at the presentation I'll be staggered if we don't see a sizable climb over time. Fdp approval was muted as 2025 ( so that's not too far away) and before then there are other likely rns's that all could / should add value. Downside from here?.. Not too much you'd think, upside? who knows for certain. Happy to hold and wait, would add a few more at these prices tbh if I had spare funds.
Just watched, very happy with everything that was said, fantastic to have the opportunity to ask questions direct to Steve via the investor meets platform, and totally relaxed with my holding and the future of the company. Cheers Steve and Team Orcadian.

They have to pay back to Shell and they have burnt money like teenagers
Steve cleared that up, nice to hear that he does pop in to the chat sites, nicer that he rubbished ill founded cash spend post
Don't know Stalin, after all it fell from 39p to 28p not that long ago on not very much when you think about it, seems to me like 35p is a kinda limbo mode where it could hover about until a good reason to move in either direction surfaces. The simplest of these reasons which are interlinked anyways are oil price, interest rates, middle east tensions, supply etc etc. Offcourse there is also the short selling to consider also. If we're lucky that bank of america upgrade can keep us heading up.
Not implying that orca could or will be bought for £8m spring water, was highlighting that at current market cap at this level it would not be unreasonable to think someone might consider all options... I'm happy to wait until first oil, would expect us to be far higher than 10p by then.
Stalin if we get to 66p then I for one would be very reluctant to "get out". That's a seismic jump from where we are now, and in order to get to that level there would need to be some strong supporting factors ( such as Kenya, tax bill, increased production, discovery, takeover etc etc) all possible I might add. So with that you could well find that 66p was simply a step on way to even higher. Likewise 25p again would be quite some move without good reasoning, highly unlikely with oil anywhere near $80 and above.
Looks like there's been a counter hit pcp lol
