No one was conned. NHS wants to accelerate vaccine development, scancell is a clinical stage UK biotech co developing vaccines so they are helping out. It is a mistake to think that they chose iscib1+ specifically because they think it is going to be efficacious. That's just wrong.

I have explained why I think iscib1+ is a dud on several occasions. In this instance I will point to slide 8 of the presentation, highlighting the embarrassing figure from their patent. In that figure

SCIB1 is useless, though this is not what they have shown previously in other animal models

iscib1 is also useless so it's not avidimab

SCIB1+ is also useless so it's not the new epitopes (and in that case it would not have any comparative value since scib1 does not have the extra epitopes but anyway)

And somehow iscib1+ looks amazing. I would be embarrassed to show this to anyone. And yes it is likely fake or a one time fluke.

Cohorts 3 and 4 are a desperate attempt to extract some value from iscib1+ which has extended patent life. Except avidimab if you check the mechanism of action has nothing to do with activating t cells in the way iscib1+ is supposed to be doing.

2 things. Scib1 vs iscib1+ will be mid year hopefully. It will be scib1 :) Then IM vs ID will be decided based on cohort 4 (this the cohort that NHS will assist with recruitment).

It doesn't matter how you interpret it. You are simply wrong. Just listen to the presentation.

CVLP is only about iscib1+ ID, interim for that cohort expected eoy not mid year.
