Sec 11 also states matters not in the public domain. It could be argued that the RNS stating multiple enquiries does enough to get around this, followed by an agreement to inform the market at a later date? Just my take regarding a market where not all rules seem to be strictly enforced.
13thmonkey, I’m confused as to why you think contracts have to be announced at the moment they’re signed, or why companies would be carrying them around. It’s completely plausible that two parties sign and agree a release date for information.
Garonne, I certainly wasn’t expecting an announcement as this was an ABB pitch to the market. Hearing something come from this over the next six months is more likely. What I’d like to hear is an update regarding the fuel cell integration for the EV market but I definitely don’t see anything negative on the horizon. ABB aren’t stupid and would have pulled out by now; they certainly wouldn’t be pushing AFC systems for data centre use.
Lack of news is another story but I don’t care what the share price does in the meantime. As an investor it’s natural to want updates and AFC could definitely improve, but, as I said a while ago, I think we’re at the behest of customers including ABB as to when that information is made public. Concentrate on what’s good. There’s no bad, just slightly disappointing in respect of news.
Aputure, thanks for the update. Whilst I rarely post on this bb, I do read every post (likewise on Telegram) and despite the ludicrous efforts of some ill informed and frankly daft scaremongers, I continue to hold. An opinion, not advice, but there’s no drama here. Cheers.
Ade, ABB won’t be announcing anything negative, so I’m pretty confident it’ll either stabilise or rise tomorrow. I did try to suggest that you should forget about trying to guess the bottom and buy.
Unless BJ pulls one out of a hat and it’s wearing bells and blowing a whistle, I think I’m actually going to vote for the Green Party at the general election. Not a decision I’ve taken lightly, but quite honestly, no government is going to push ahead with a clear unequivocal strategy to protect the planet. It’s all going to be too little too late and I can’t understand why they think there’s more time. If they can’t charge a bl**dy electric car with clean energy immediately before and presumably during COP26 then what hope is there? Time for some radical and painful decisions to be made.
Ade, this was always going to happen in the run up to COP26 and if (nothing guaranteed) details of orders are released you’ll see the SP lift to 100p plus before you can buy back in. So far AB has managed to prevent news from slipping out, so a 7am RNS is going to be your undoing. Factor in a slight rise on Friday in anticipation of news each Monday, but don’t think this will drop significantly any time soon, because it probably won’t. Not advice, just sensible thinking.
