I sold some of these shares a few weeks back having made a decent gain (LTH) - that is a sure sign they will keep rising. Anyway today's rise prompted me to look at the finance figures and they really are in a good position at the moment. Possibly the main risk is the security situation in the far north of the country, of which I don't know whether it is improving or not. Aside from that, this looks full steam ahead.

I think they (Shore) issued a Buy (previously Hold)

Now then do I try and recoup losses on the back of bid speculation?

I'm assuming this share is affected more than most as it has interests in Ukraine and Russia.

Another of those rather strange reactions. You hear the news, you expect the price to rise and then hey ho end up topping up because of the fall.

Been watching this share for a while and finally dipped my toe in based on director and other buys.

Yes thought about about a small flutter through Primary Bid and then did a little research.Buying into a joint venture with a loss making outfit that seems to have plenty of cash and then Oxford would take 80% rather than 50:50. I know joint ventures are all the rage but with the CEO leaving there are enough warning flags for me to pass on this one. I wonder what Neil Woodford would do.

Yet another Investors Chronicle poor call (170p !). Have called a halt to my subscription - duds outweigh the good ones by at least 2:1.

Lots of sells today. Looks like an extra 10% off. The recent RNSs don't inspire me with confidence but if it is a matter of 'when not if' for regulatory approval then bargain it is.

Probably a few contributors here passed away due to old age. This 'just round the corner' has been going on for a decade.

Subscribing to Investors Chronicle has cost me a lot of money (IC Buy, 3,328p, 04 May 2021)!

When there are no serious issues in the RNS (as per Avon) and shares drop by more than a third then that is my signal to buy - which I have done here.

I'm not convinced AJ Bell are nimble enough to disrupt HL that much. The likes of Freetrade are more of a threat and they have been around for a while. I'm with all three and use all three in different ways. HL savings is a good concept and could be developed further so that people don't spend endless hours searching for a savings rate of 0.6 instead of 0.5%. The whole market is expanding as boomers shuffle and trade and most younger people don't get a defined benefits pension.

Agree - when you consider normal premiums to buy companies.
