Think the shorts control most of the free float. A buyer would need to take 2 or 3% or so to influence their behaviour imo. Emerging markets will lead out of the recession. Long term price of oil $60 (imf et al) currently reflected whilst more developed markets working with $55 eg BP.

CV is still a risk, yes. Good that it looks like only tier 3 (hotspot) geographies might close pubs, but not restaurants. That says to me the business operation and momentum will continue to build/ recover. My only regret is not buying more at the lows :-(

Yes agree. Have to look beyond the short term impact of CV and start thinking about the the horizon value. All those future cashflows in a wider distribution channel. Great opportunity. Was happy with MARS as a long term hold when it was £1..

Both Total and TLW year ends 31 December. I suppose the cash has to move between the 2 entities if the transaction is to be recognised in their respective accounts?
Also interesting if the cash is received after CMD and before the year end versus receiving the cash after the year end but before the voluntary RBL redetermination.

In the presention I heard Rahul say they (voluntarily) wanted to get RBL issues wrapped up with the strategy following CMD. Basically no medium term uncertainty and (probably/sensibly) clear runway for Kenya imo

I think the $1Bn sales needs to be done in the timeframe of Kenya investment end 2021 or $700m debt repayment 2022 imo. Uganda done but cash not in bank yet.

Timeframe is sensitive to the price of oil but the revenues are hedged and there are additional costs of increasing hedging beyond 2021.

So we got $500m liquidity headroom out of the redetermination
We got $500m ($575m) Uganda cash
We got $300m debt to repay in 2021
We got $700m to pay in 2022
We got a sustainable free cashflow underpinned by hedges including nearly 50% in 2021
We got a strong management team with the skills and experience to navigate the market
