There is massive change coming to the Royal mail...whether the CWU likes it or not. There are going to be many redundancies...whether RMG care to admit it or not. But whether RMG like it or not...it has to be done with the co-operation of the CWU. Otherwise, people, not only will there be a lot of redundancies, and Rico will be one of the very first to go, there will also be the very public spectacle of tens of thousands of people smashing a national icon into many little pieces. And that is an absolute fact! 5 year plan? Not a fxxk!ng chance!! Not even in 10. Good night.

Here is another little collection of thoughts for you, wolvesposty. If you are a relative new-comer to RMG (five years?) do you think your employer will reward you by keeping you in work when they chop one in six rounds? Do you think they will remember you as "the postie who kept on working" and smile favourably upon you when the wholesale butchery begins? Do you think the managers and the depot/plant manager will give a flying xxxx if you receive your redundancy papers? Do you think your workmates or the CWU will give a t0ss about you if you get the boot? Do you think Rico Back cares about your zealous determination to get the mail through regardless of personal loss? And, finally -- do you think your pathetic little attempt at standing alone will make the slightest difference to the outcome of this dispute? Not only are you laughable...you are also sadly deluded in the absolute extreme.

Here's a thought. Whatever happens in the very near future it will cost RMG a lot of money: if its a nationwide strike it will be a fortune, and if its a negotiated settlement it will cost a fortune for RMG also. But, of course, according to Mr Fruitcake, this is all "priced in" to the s.p. Oh Lord!! If that does not show a complete misunderstanding of a companies financial prospects in the near to mid term I do not know what does!

Although I don't agree with all of what you espouse, DerekR, at least your comments are thought provoking, and, in many cases, rather informative.

You all need to grow up, not possible for some granted, and start encouraging and indulging in more informative and mature conversation...not this juvenile dribble I consistently read here.

I have not predicted anything wrong Mr Fruitcake. I have simply just consistently argued the most obvious point, well...obvious to anyone with half a brain (that most definitely excludes you and Redceo) that the threat of a hugely damaging and crippling strike will most adversely effect the performance of this s.p...more so than all your so called other market influencing factors. You might well understand financial markets, Fruitcake, and, you might better understand basic accounting and Royal Mail's fundamentals far more ably than I, but, you have no idea, along with Redceo, about the critical and all important balance between the CWU and RMG...in other words: you understand, and rather well I would willingly concede, how markets work -- but have no idea (again - nor Redceo!) about the true impact of the simmering friction between union and employer that is now quickly coming to the boil. How could you possibly understand what Madasaballon has been trying to explain to you for the last couple of months? Because you are too full of your own important arrogance to even listen!!

I will say this much, Isleworth: those of them who ever never worked at Royal Mail just cannot imagine the utter devastation to the company that a full blown strike would inflict. I am still waiting for a precise answer from Fruitster regarding his comment that any actual industrial action from the CWU in the very near or imminent future has already been "priced in", (love that phrase - lol) as far as the share price is concerned, and therefore what will be the share price when this actually occurs. Considering that remark was made several weeks ago I am still very curious as to learn if we have already reached his "priced in" threshold yet...or do we in fact have to wait a little longer before that "priced in" fall comes about? "Priced in"? Priced in my arse!!!!!!

Rather weak, Fritster. I did not make a definite statement in any context as is clearly demonstrated. I poised a question in response to falklands view...and then answered it for him. It was not a view held by me at the time...and indeed is not my view now. You certainly are clutching at straws with that one. But hey, if it amuses you, why not have another go?

Number 1: copy and paste any comment I have ever made, from this board or any other form of public forum, where I have stated 25/30 percent...or indeed any percent?
Number 2: to attempt to try to hazard where the s.p would end up after even just the first 10 days of what could be a long and bitterly contested strike is just ludicrous. You, just like I, have'nt got a clue on that one. And nor has anyone else -- whether professional analyst or not!!
