Sheesh. Let me help you out here specimen as to what you should have said :-)

Inflation ‘may’ impact ‘many businesses’ ability to generate significant shareholders return over the next 12 months through normal BAU activity.

This looks much better doesn’t it….consider this a more……shall we say and observed and more considered view :-)

Am sure you wouldn’t want to single out a business amongst many thousands……

Think the doom and gloom on interest rates needs to be offset against the wage increases as well. Seems some comments are very much around mortgage increases but no income increase? From my own and wife’s perspective, mortgage rate went from 1.49 to around 5%+ tracker…..ouch, didn’t fix again as happy to wait for dates to move down, again a lottery as to the when., yet we’re better off due to income increases. And yes wish I’d had the foresight to fix for longer back in 2020 :-(

Also got to consider an element of the country who are becoming better off through higher savings rates/pension increases etc. nor does everyone have a mortgage.

Lots of factors that people far brighter than me understand, but I’d prob also digress that some of the ‘lower’ earners and spenders are not necessarily the whole gym/protein market

Get your point licker……and they happened to call it right in some cases….but was any of it helped by the Numis ‘since retracted’ note to hundreds of investors?

Also what is Numis looking to achieve here? Apart from maybe trying to recoup (if they haven’t already) some of their IPO fees that they lost out on? Their timing in the middle of Q4 trading? Timing with FCF + being achieved ahead of time? Timing as THG has just had a little momentum recently? Note the SP has recovered from as low as 32p

But also as per my first point, Numis planted a seed with its investors with its ‘false facts’ note and whilst it was retracted, it still happened.

Is Numis deliberate in not looking ahead to what Q4 update says? Just can’t help thinking their timing is a little dubious but all my opinion.

Do we know what the Numis broker note said to justify their rating? Assume it’s full of ‘facts’ and they know exactly how this Q4 trading has gone so far

So good old bitter Numis who had to report themselves to the FCA at it again.

Not sure anyone will pay attention to them……wonder what memo they plan to send out this time?

I’ll await the next trading update accounting for the Xmas trading period before making any further assumptions/forecasts, maybe the ‘bright’ analysts should do the same

Seems it’s okay for all to keep poking the THG bear, or should that be kong, for a cheap buyout opportunity.

Am all for some cheap opportunities having overpaid in past for some. Be interesting to see if this one unfolds anymore.

But when they are ‘noisy’ at buying THG on the day, but then come out the woodwork weeks later to say they’ve sold some suggests they don’t have full conviction in the SP and longer term strategy they say they are. So let’s just call it out that they may be just ‘trading’ THG and using their voice to get those shorter term SP rises so they can sell into it?

I could just be hypercritical and call it as I see it ;-)

But agree they have been vocal with some good points, albeit not actually stating anything that hadn’t already been discussed /raised on this board.

Be interesting to see if any LI posts about Black Friday and Xmas trading. Suspect it could be decent this year. Least I hope so anyway

Circa 20% recovery on SP in last 3 weeks. If we can build on this into the new year update and continue with FCF positive, before any potential capital events. Yesterday’s HCT just shows the premium potential that can happen, but we knew that anyway.
