I only did 2 years in my LSE post earlier as it was so embarrassing. But 5 years truly means LSE is dead and just needs to fold. If our own MP’s pensions don’t trust it, then who would.

Nothing is attractive in London anymore Cept it’s previous pomp that it’s still trying to keep. It’s simply on its way out. And before long the investment in London, which is already happening is drying out big time.

My worry is any bid is just going to be a cheap shot. SP is simply undervalued imo of course and even when it gets to a more acceptable level, from a long term POV I still think a bid could be too cheap, hence I’d rather see the cheap bids kept at bay so that THG can then bargain a bit better once in a better place SP wise

Still it’s always going to struggle in the current LSE cesspit to increase even with good news flow starting. Just looking at 2 years, Nasdaq circa 15% up, DJI 7% up and London cesspit flat to slightly down over the same 2 years.

Said this all along icc, would rather build on latest update and increase the SP before any capital event. Though hotel choc is an example of what premiums can happen as we know.

Still positive on THG and I believe they are well on their way to cracking it, strategic partnerships will definitely help. Once FCF+ starts leaping up this year. then so will the SP but then just as interestingly as the Wincanton note, is there enough liquidity? Plus as I keep whining about, the London markets are dead, and with pension funds at the lowest levels ever in stocks, something has to change or simply delist asap

I did find the Kelso decision to invest in the works really odd. Think it’s a shocking almost bric a brac style business, and on the high street as well, but then what do I know!

Agree. Will they wait and see, and in the meantime the SP hopefully recovers to a ‘good value’ level before they get chance?

I’m in the camp of recover the SP first with a good couple of updates as don’t want this to go cheap.

They’ll be an RNS in next few weeks I guess to cement the H&B in principle deal. Hoping for more.

Bit of a two horse race. Though I think that THG has the benefit of being dropped a bit much in the first 2 weeks of the year.

Hmm interesting results and no real surprises or downgrades which is good. FCF is good progress and on time for 2024.

H&B shows that he still has plenty ingenuity interest, more to come on that front I’m sure. Not surprised at 3 year deal as they have a real shrewd bunch on the H&B board so will be hedging their bets slightly.

Nutrition in my view is they were already strong sales so hard to grow it further without cracking the American market etc imho, but time to improve the margins and hopefully get that American interest.

Quite pleased on the beauty front, with Biossance to be integrated so see what impact that has as well.

No idea how market will view it as it does its own thing anyway as we know. Any perceived negativity was already priced in since beginning of year so onwards and upwards for me and positive as always.

If we think this board has been daft this week, it’s about to get a whole lot dafter next week, popcorn at the ready and remaining positive as always.

A firm 2024 strategy would be lovely though, and we’ll see how Q4 trading has gone.

Suspect however it goes will have Kelso making some noise again.

Would love to know what the Heinz website ‘issues’ are all about, inaccessible since early dec was it, and now needing a log in. Likely unrelated to THG but would still like to know. Long time for a major to be without a functioning customer website.

Anyways, only a few days to go before rumours/leaks are a thing of the past again and we get actual ‘news’, at least till the next run up to actual results when it all starts again
