Todays presentation15 Mar 2022 17:30
Caught the latest presentation today , and it was a very good , fact packed one .
Traumakine was back in there again , with new slides on the SNP data .
Reading the publication in full , this SNP findings really does change the landscape for T . Knowing who will benefit most is so important , and now they can explain the findings so much better :
My rough take on it -
1.) Patient has SNP and no steroids ( prior or during) - best patient for T ( will show best response)
2.) Patient has SNP and is on steroids ( prior or during) - should still benefit from T ( as steroid effect blocked to a degree by SNP )
3.) Patient doesn't have SNP and no steroids - still ok to treat - should see benefit
4.) Patient doesn't have SNP and on steroids - not likely to see much benefit and may possibly come off worse .
But also they can see that after T , steroids may well play a beneficial role .
It's just without the SNP , the two at the same time is like 'too many cooks in the kitchen' scenario .
Markku expecting good results later on this year ( REMAP first , then HIBISCUS ?) .
In light of the new findings , I wonder if this will affect protocols , or inclusion criteria in subsequent trials ?
Bex is the lead candidate though - and that got the bulk of the slides .
Looks like we have a new scientific advisor ( just for Bex ) - with additional members joining .
All together these presentations are getting fuller and fuller with good data , whether its biomarkers , mortality rates , or new discoveries .
More team members being added . Looking forward to an exciting year .
