Have you accounted for Tory inflation having eaten away at that sum which you put into CPI way back in Aug 2023? - Those post Truss months were brutal. I imagine the purchasing power has been much reduced - to break even you'd have had to have done far more than just go into slight profit on that stake.

Robleo - I did indeed sell VOD shares, as I'd declared too, and what's more is that I've made far more (paper gains at the minute mind) by putting that cash into alternative stocks- which have grown far faster than VOD has since that time.

LTI - I think you've made the right call by trimming as sure there's potential for a small further climb before it dips backwards but... a dip backwards looks inevitable to me (IMO), and when it happens you'll no doubt be glad you sold some of your holdings.

I should have added , for transparency - I've not sold off any of my SSPG shares - A firm hold (and add on any dips) is my approach here with my SSPG LTH investment.

Could we be looking at a slide back into the high 170's here over the days ahead? - GLG don't appear to be closing out the bulk of their short, and maybe they and others might double down on shorting next week?

Crack on with the adding IMO - as this stock bound to make a downwards correction soon IMV. Possibly on results when it'll no doubt be shown that Germany has still not yet plateaued. A little longer journey yet till recovery in the German market than some might currently be reckoning on (I think some LTH's have gotten a little ahead of the real world on pricing here).

Royal Bank of Canada - they have LTH positions, so any shorting they do is strategic- to balance up risk for their pension holders. A little like betting each way on a horsey to balance the cost of the bet with improving the odds of winning something.

"AH has turned Capita around" - Any fool can sell parts of the company to ensure the cash doesn't run out in the short term, which is precisely what AH is doing - selling off the parts whilst the business becomes ever smaller and continues shrinking the income coming into the coffers.

Interesting RNS there showing HSBC lending some stock they're holding - presumably, for those taking short positions and therefore needing to borrow the stock from someone to do so?

Horsey One... the open short matter is a very good point, and with the price climb this morning being so limited (considering this massive ~£1.2bn - i.e. ~£600mil IPO news - as halved due to SSPG having just above ~50% stake)... I'm beginning to wonder if GLG partners may have doubled down on their short? Or maybe others have also joined in on the act too? - as well as what appears bound to be selling by LTH's into this rise too? - I just would have imagined a bigger rise this morning than has currently happened - this should be +20% easily IMV because market cap prior to this announcement was so low.
