There must be a reason for it, the market is full of investors looking for value, hidden gems don’t stay hidden forever, assuming IQE is not in plain sight yet. The question is whether IQE is a gem.

If a turnaround was so imminent, management would not consider an all share sale, but only part of the business to tidy up the balance sheet without hampering prospective revenue.

As I understand It, the option of an all share sale is on the table.

I traded iqe back in the days. The company overpromises on its potential but under delivers. Whatever you read about their tech may be true but I am yet to see it reflected in revenue and profits
