Assuming it is not bought out, the market for H2 is growing exponentially for the foreseeable future and the SP will track upwards in parallel. The only limiting factors I can see are competition and rate of infrastructure roll out.

Ditto. We have a lot protected but not all and that part is growing rapidly - not complaint though. Have added NEL, Ballard and CWR but not PHE based on Airproducts costly experiment with gamification (£1bn) but hope it works for those who are in. Decided to go with Velocys instead; also burning waste plastic, wood waste etc but to provide jet fuel. BA and Shell are part funding in a small way so it must have passed some due diligence with them.

Way2 - I am in the same boat as you. Short term trading was not my play on this one -- just accumulate steadily and glad I did - no regrets! Can sell up to CGT limits at a much later stage or eventually transfer to kids tax free but with a held over gain. M

Just pretend it's a share you never heard of before. Eases the pain:-)

The landscape has changed now rather dramatically - there may be a correction or it might keep going or be bought out. My bet is on the latter 2. If you really believe in ITM my advice would be to get back in before it is too late.

ITM has a big market - it works wonders.

I agree - plus the pace of technology change driven by competition will accelerate the transition away from dirty fossil fuels. Car manufacturers are already playing catch up with Tesla and even hybrid models will be banned from 2035 on. ITM Motive is in the sweet spot with Shell as a partner. Who wants to be seen as a dinosaur.....

Only you can make that decision Andy. If you are risk averse I would recommend a tracker. If you are looking for high returns but with higher risk and are in it for the long term let us know if you find somewhere better than ITM.

Very good point ps. Looking at the NG figures at the link I posted below, in the past year average UK demand was 30.6GW of which 36.5% was gas - ie a massive market. H2 from surplus renewables is a major (previously unavailable) bonus for NG and suppliers following the huge expenditures on renewable infrastructure and supports climate change imperatives.
